Rookie Ben Tate will miss his 2010 season, after breaking his ankle last night in his first preseason game.  This is an awful thing, as Tate looked to have a shot for the starting job in Houston.  It now looks like it will just be Arain Foster and Steve Slaton competing for carries all year.

  1. With Tate out should I pick up Foster, im hurting RB. Who should I drop to pick him up, if I even should. Backs are Greene, Stewart, barber, and Thomas Jones.other backs available besides Foster are Jacobs and Harrison. Thanks

  2. You seem pretty deep at the RB position already. I know Greene is the only true starter you have, so if your looking for another one, I actually like the Browns Harrison better than Foster as the Texans are a pass first offense. If I had to drop any of those guys it would be Barber, only because he's splitting time with Jones and Choice and Romo likes to throw the ball around with a strong receiving core.

  3. Thanks, I've been wanting to pickup Harrison but wasn't real sure bout dropping Barber. But what ur saying really makes sense, just was thinkin he'd have a dont doubt me year. Adding Bryant didnt help his cause really though.

  4. Yea I agree. I really think Felix Jones is gonna bust out for a huge year this year, which possibly means less playing time for Barber and Choice. Your best bet is to go with Harrison as he guaranteed the touches.

  5. so you don't think Monterio Hardesty will be much of a factor? I'm not convinced the Browns will move the ball real well - or score a ton of points. The Texans will do both and not all of it is via the air... That offense is too powerful for Foster to not get some red zone and goal line touches.

Not trying to be argumentative - just a different perspective... thanks

  6. hey its cool man, thats why we created this blog to give our opinions and help out. But i just really like Harrison. Only 5-9 but hes a gamer. He had 106 carries the final 3 weeks of the season for 561 yards and 5 tds. He's a big play waiting to happen. The pass game was non existent last season for the Browns but bringing in veteran Jake Delhomme, despite his struggles last year, should help improve it which will help the run game as well. Hardesty will get some touches but not enough to decrease the value of Harrison, who can also get it done in the screen game. Had a 7 catch 2td game against the Chargers last year. Just too much to like about him to pass him up. Also Foster only has 56 career carries so you dont really know what to expect for a full season.
