KeithyP's Favs of the week
Fav QB Matchup - Michael Vick @ Lions - 103 Rush yards, 16 for 24 Passing and a TD.  Kevin Kolb failed his concussion test, Vick will start.
Vick was extremely impressive in his first start in over 2 years.  He didn't do much with his feet, as he only rushed 4 times for 40 yards but he was 21/34 passing for 284 yards and 2 TDs.  He connected with Desean Jackson for several deep bombs in this game.

Fav RB Matchup - Jamaal Charles @ Browns - 92 Yards on 11 Carries against Chargers Week1
Thomas Jones doubled Charles' carries.  Jones got 22 carries and Charles just like last week only had 11 carries, and racked up a total of 76 yards for the game.

Fav WR Matchup - Roddy White vs. Cardinals - 23 Targets last week, 13 Catches
Matt Ryan threw it 12 more times White's way and they connected for 7 catches 78 yards and a TD.

Fav TE Matchup - Jermaine Gresham vs Ravens - Swagger.
3 Catches (5 targets) for 15 yards - The rookie did not have a good matchup going up against the physical Ravens defense and he didn't get much done here only having 3 catches for 15 yards.

Fav DEF Matchup - Saints @ 49ers - If the Seahawks can shut them down, the Saints can.

KeithyP's Upset of the Week(0-1)
Rams over @ Raiders

LiLbRo's Favs of the week
Fav QB Matchup - Phillip Rivers vs. Jaguars - 22/39 298 yards, 2 TDs 0INTs in a loss to the Chiefs.
Rivers was very effective against the Jags defense.  He finished 22/29 for 334 yards with 3 TDs and 2 picks.  He led the Chargers to an easy 38-13 win and spread the ball around to 8 different receivers and connected twice with Gates for a TD.

Fav RB Matchup - Steven Jackson @ Raiders - Chris Johnson showed that the Raiders were still weak against the run and this is a great matchup for the physical Steven Jackson.
Jackson had over 100 total yards in the first quarter but was very quiet the rest of the way.  Jackson had 19 carries for 75 yards and 4 catches for 50 yards.

Fav WR Matchup - Andre Johnson @ Redskins - Was quiet in week 1, look for more production out of the pass game as the Redskins should somewhat hold Foster in check.
Johnson made up for his fantasy owners who have him against the Redskins.  Johnson had a monster game with 12 catches for 158 yards and a TD to tie the game late in the 4th to send the game into OT.

Fav TE Matchup - Visanthe Shiancoe vs. Dolphins - Looked sharp against the Saints and Favre found him for a TD.
6 catches (9 targets) 86 yards.  - Another rough week for the Vikings as they didn't get much done on offense but once again Favre was comfortable throwing to Shiancoe as he hauled in 6 catches.

Fav DEF Matchup - Green Bay Packers vs. Bills - Very aggressive defense against a extremley weak offense.
7 Pts Allowed, 2 INTs, 4 Sacks - Didn't let the Bills do much on offense as expected.  Sacked Trent Edwards 4 times, and forced two turnovers.  A very solid day for the defense.

LiLbRo's Upset of the Week(1-0)
Chiefs over @ Browns

Consensus Pick5(3-2)
Cowboys vs. Bears
Packers vs. Bills
Vikings vs. Dolphins
Eagles @ Lions
Saints @ 49ers

Practice Squad
QB -  Carson Palmer vs. Ravens (16 for 35, 165 yards, 0TDs 0INTs)
RB - Ronnie Brown @ Vikings (13 carries for 80 yards, 1 catch for 3 yards)
RB - CJ Spiller @ Packers (1 carry 3 yards, 4 catches for 23 yards)
WR -  Michael Crabtree vs. Saints(1 Catch 32 yards)
WR - Derrick Mason @ Bengals (1 catch for 31 yards and a TD)
WR - Steve Breaston @ Falcons (3 catches 10 yards)
TE - Dustin Keller vs. Patriots (7 catches for 115 yards and a TD)
K - Matt Prater vs. Seahawks (1 for 1 - 20 yarder and 4 xp)
DEF - Bears @ Cowboys (20 Pts Allowed, 2 INTs, 1 Fumble Rec., 0 sacks)

  1. Malcom Floyd or Legedu Naanee? Stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Who should i start...

    Mike Sims-Walker vs SD
    Austin Collie vs NYG
    Mark Clayton vs Oak

    ReplyDelete
  3. Floyd is the #1 and was targeted 12 times by Philip Rivers but only came down with 3 catches. Naanee saw 8 targets and pulled in 5 catches and a long TD. Floyd is a better talent but will have tougher matchups going against the #1 CBs on the opposing defense, so as of now I would say Naanee but its going to be a toss up each week, in my opinion.

  4. Clayton had a big game but its tough to think he will pull in 10 catches possibly facing off with Nnamdi Asomugha. Its also hard to think the Colts will throw the ball 60 times against the Giants, as they will look to get their run game going plus he has to share the field with Wayne, Clark, Gonzalez and Garcon. Sims-Walker is the safe bet here.

  5. should i trade Brandon Jacobs for brandon jacksoon

    ReplyDelete
  6. I would. Jacobs is backing up Bradshaw, and has struggled since last year. Jackson is on arguably the best offense in football, and isn't only a talented runner but has great hands out of the back field. He should put up some nice numbers as he takes over for Ryan Grant.

  8. Who should I start?
    Pick top 3.

    Randy Moss
    Greg Jennings
    Wes Welker
    Malcolm Floyd
    Dez Bryant
    Legedu Naanee

Also pick 2 of the following for RB
    Pierre Thomas
    LeSean McCoy
    Joseph Addai
    Shonn Green

  9. Who do I start Mike Williams @ denver or Mark Clayton at oakland - max

    ReplyDelete
  10. Maybe offer him Deangelo Williams and Breaston for one of those guys..im not really sure if he would do that but you can try it and see if he counter offers.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would go Jennings, Welker and Moss even tho Moss was shut down twice last year by Revis. He's just so much better then the rest of your guys to sit. So start him and pray!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Also Thomas and Addai would be my 2 RBs of choice

    ReplyDelete
  13. I said it before, i dont like the matchup of Clayton against Asamugah, so Mike Williams might be a better option this week.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Go with Driver. He's got Rodgers throwing to him and with Grant out they will continue to pass and Driver is solid every year. Maclin and Vick connected for a TD but you never know if Vick will be the Vick of old, so Driver is almost a guaranteed 5 catches 60-70 yards and a possible TD.

    ReplyDelete
  15. RB/Flex Question.

Chris Johnson is a no brainer, but do I start Cadillac alongside him and use Jeremy Maclin as my flex OR do I use CJ, Cadillac, and Hillis in my flex?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would use Cadillac with Maclin. You know Cadillac will get his touches and Maclin will see throws his way. However its not clear on Hillis on how many touches he will get. If he does get touches he will produce but I dont know if its worth the risk when you have solid options like Cadillac and Maclin.

  17. Need some major help...PLZ!

Which receivers should I play this week?

    Harvin
    Sims-Walker
    Collie
    Legadu Naanee

Also have dustin keller (thinkin about droppin him honestly)

    As for RB...

    Rice
    Benson
    Hightower
    Ricky Williams
    Sproles (drop him?)
and just picked up Peyton Hillis.

Any Advice would be great...PPR league also.
    Thanks!

  18. Olliver how many Rbs and WR do u need?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Back again after a frustrating opening week. Racked up 89 points, but fell short of a great big opening W by 8 points. And guess who has Megatron in their team in a league with 1pt per 10yd rec & 6pt per TD? Yeah...i'm still reeling now.

Early thoughts on team selection for this week? Needing 2 RBs, 3 WRs and 1 TE from:

    DeAngelo Williams
    Matt Forte
    Brandon Jackson
    Fred Taylor

    Megatron
    TO
Mike Williams (SEA) - potential injury worry though
    Lee Evans
    Mark Clayton

    Kellen Winslow
    Dustin Keller

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Which defense should I add for Week 2?
New england, seattle, tennesse, or arizona?

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Rich S

    Forte and Williams must play

Megatron Lee Evans and Mark Clayton I would go with TO against the Ravens is a bad Idea. I am sitting him for Devone Bess in my league.

I would steer cleer of Keller for a while as Sanchez does not look comfortable throwing the football, and the Pats looked real good last week.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @ Anonymous

New England against the Jets is not a terrible idea. The Jets do not score points and as mentioned above the Pats looked good last week.

Stay away from Seattle as i think that was just a fluke thing against the 49ers.

The Titans are playing the Steelers and that is not a terrible option and the Cardinals might be overwhelmed against the Falcons this week

My suggestion is to use the Pats

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm playing 3-4 WR's and 3 RB's. My only good TE is Dallas Clark, I have no other strong options there. So 3 receivers and a flex w/r/t.

Also Im torn on starting Brady vs Jets secondary. Could be terrible, could be amazing with new weapons other than Moss. Or I could play Matt Ryan against shabby Arizona D. Please give me some insight!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not buying into the Brandon Jackson hype enough to put him ahead of Forte then Keithy? Even for Week 2? As a Bills fan, there's certainly the potential for major points there...

    ReplyDelete
  25. @ Rich S

    No I really am not

Forte is a great fantasy option in a PPR, not many RBs receive as many catches as him. Plus the offense looked great last week, be it against the Lions.

Jackson will do well for GB but as a fantasy option I would not buy into, but if you have him I would certainly look to trade him before week2 while his value is still very high

    ReplyDelete
  26. @ Oliver

Play Ray Rice, Cedric Benson, Tim Hightower, and Ricky Williams

Play Percy Harvin, Mike Sims-Walker, and Legadu Naanee

I think Austin Collie got so many looks because they were trailing all game. I do not see them playing that way against the GMen

    ReplyDelete
  27. which two backs should I start
    McCoy vs Lions
    Best vs Eagles
    Stewart vs Bucs
    Mcfadden vs Rams
    Green vs Pats
    Brandon Jackson vs Bills.
I know I have a lot of running backs...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think McFadden and McCoy have the best matchups and prob your safest bet. However Jackson could put up some nice fantasy numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hate to have you pick my lineup, but...
    Pick 1 RB 1 Flex 1 TE (it's a WR/RB flex)
    Ronnie Brown vs MIN
Cadillac vs CAR (is CAR D as solid as people make them sound)
    Hillis vs KC
    Jeremy Maclin vs DET
    Dez Bryant vs CHI

    Shiancoe or Finley?

    ReplyDelete
  30. @KeithyP

    Thanks for the insight.

    What about QB?

    Brady or Matt Ryan?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I need help with my second WR slot Hines Ward or Mark Clayton for my ppr league

    ReplyDelete
  32. Who should i start for week two?
    1 out of these 3:
    Pierre Garcon @NYG
    Brandon Lloyd @Sea
    Reggie Bush @SF

Also, should i pick up Vincent Jackson?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not crazy about my WR2 options. Breaston, Clayton, Floyd, and Williams/TB. Started Floyd last week he was a bust. Williams I stashed for later in the season. Picked up Breaston and Clayton off waivers. Yikes, who do I start?

    ReplyDelete
  34. who should i start this week?

carson palmer, tony romo, or michael vick?

    ReplyDelete
  35. do you think the Vikings defense will give me some good fantasy points this week?

    ReplyDelete
  36. lesean mccoy or brand jackson?

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Anonymous - Ronnie Brown, Dez Bryant and Visanthe Shiancoe

@ Corey S - Hines Ward is an easy decision

@ Anonymous - Who are your running backs ahead oh Bush?

@ Anonymous - Play Malcolm Floyd

@ Anonymous - I would start Vick or Romo avoid Palmer against the Ravens

@ Anonymous - The Vikings defense is always a solid option

@ Anonymous - LeSean McCoy, expecting the Eagles to throw only on 3rd down if neccessary

    ReplyDelete
  38. I need to pick 2 RB from Ryan Mathews, Ahmad bradshaw, and arian foster

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would go with Matthews and Foster. After last week you can't sit Foster and I like Matthews matchup better than Bradshaw as the Giants will probably have to throw against the Colts as they will most likely be trailing throughout.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Gresham vs Baltimore or Cooley vs Hou
    E. Manning @ Indy or McNabb vs Hou
    D. Amendola @ Oak or Malcom Floyd vs Jacsonville
    (1pt per 10 return yds)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I liked Cooley's and McNabbs chemistry last week against Dallas so I'm going to say start Cooley, hes usually always solid. Gresham is a rookie and could be hit or miss.

I also like Eli this week against the Colts. I think he'll be playing with a chip on his shoulder going up against his older brother plus he looked good last week and the picks he threw should have been caught.

Also go with Floyd for this week. Ill take Phillip Rivers throwing to my WR over Sam Bradford any day.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @LilbRo

Is it bad to start Malcom Floyd along with Ryan Matthews?

I have, Ryan Matthews, Jamaal Charles, LaSean McCoy, Donald Brown, and Jerious Norwood. 2RB and a flex

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Chris - No I dont think its a bad thing. They both have huge upside and they arent facing a tough defense where you have to worry about them being shut down. Matthews Charles and McCoy are all solid starts for this week.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Need to pick 3 wr from Hines ward, desean jackson, wes welker, steve smith(CAR), and dez bryant

    ReplyDelete
  45. Derek Anderson, McNabb, or Eli Manning?

    ReplyDelete
  46. oops forgot its a PPR league

    ReplyDelete
  47. should I trade Jamaal Charles for Moreno and Cadilac?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Gotta go Hines Ward, Steve Smith and Welker. Hard to imagine Jackson and Vick will put up big numbers together, Vick looked more comfortable with Maclin.

Eli Manning, playing against his big brother, hes gonna be playing for family bragging rights.

Who else do you have at RB besides Charles?

    ReplyDelete
  49. @LilbRo

I have Addai, Matthews, and Beanie Wells

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well i think Charles is better then both Moreno and Cadillac and you have good options in addai and matthews to match up with charles..so no i would not make that trade

    ReplyDelete
  51. Ok in my ppr league should i use Ahmad Bradshaw or Mark Clayton for the WR/RB slot? thanks in advance :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Should i drop steve smith [NYG] for austin collie?

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ Corey S - Mark Clayton came up big last week but I dont think they will want Bradford to throw as much as he did, and the Colts got killed in the run game last week so look for Bradshaw to bust a couple big runs out.

@ Anonymous - That would be a terrible mistake on your part. Smith is the #1 option for Eli Manning had over 100 catches last year and Collie is a 4th option on the Colts. I would consider trading him if you dont like him and get something of equal value back.

    ReplyDelete
  54. With the advise,I started Naanee OVER Malcom Floyd and i got burned. Naanee didnt do much and Floyd was incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  55. He only had 3 catches but yes he had a 50+ yard TD which helps..like I said, its gonna be a week to week thing with these guys.
