KeithyP's Favs of the Week

Fav QB Matchup - Tom Brady vs Bills - The Bills allow 63.5% of their opponents passes to be completed.  Brady should put up great fantasy numbers week 3
21 for 27 252 Yards 3 TDs

Fav RB Matchup - LeSean McCoy @ Jaguars - McCoy looked like Brian Westbrook against the Lions and should produce well against a Jaguars team that has allowed 240 yards and 3 TDs on the ground in two games
11 Carries 54 Yards 2 Catches 7 Yards

Fav WR Matchup - Miles Austin @ Texans - The league leader in Reception Yards, Austin and the Cowboys offense should have their way with the leagues worst pass defense
2 Catches 20 Yards

Fav TE Matchup - Dustin Keller @ Dolphins  - Sanchez really seemed comfortable throwing the ball his way last week, and he had a career high 115 yards receiving
6 Catches 98 Yards 2 TDs

Fav DEF Matchup - Ravens vs Browns - While the offense has looked terrible, the Defense has been great.  The Browns have trouble scoring and the Ravens will force plenty of 3 and outs
17 Points Allowed, 2 Sacks

KeithyP's Upset of the Week(0-2)
Oakland over @ Arizona

LiLbRo's Favs of the Week

Fav QB Matchup - Brett Favre vs. Lions - The Vikings need a win and Favre has yet to be impressive this year but the Lions can be thrown on.  In two games so far the Lions have allowed 372 yards and 2 TDs to Jay Cutler and 284 yards with 2 TDs to Michael Vick.
23 of 34 201 Yards 1 TD 2 INT

Fav RB Matchup - Chris Johnson @ Giants - Johnson was held to only 36 rushing yards against the Steelers in week 2, and will be looking to start a new streak of 100+ rushing yard games after his 12 game streak was broken.  Also Joseph Addai and Donald Brown combined to run for 161 yards on 36 carries on the Giants.
32 attempts 125 yards 2 TDs

Fav WR Matchup - Roddy White @ Saints - White in the last 3 years (6 games) against the Saints has scored in 4 games and has had 100+ yards 3 times.  The Saints score points and the Falcons will have to throw it to keep up the pace.  Ryan loves throwing to White as he has 20 catches through 2 games and has seen the ball thrown his way 35 times.
5 Catches for 61 Yards TD

Fav TE Matchup - Dallas Clark @ Broncos - The Broncos have allowed TEs (Mercedes Lewis and John Carlson) to catch 7 balls for 79 yards in two games, including 2 TDs to Lewis.  Clark has already put up two 80+ yard games with a TD in each, so expect another big day from Clark against the Broncos.
5 Catches 44 Yards

Fav DEF Matchup - Patriots vs. Bills - Hard to assume the Bills will burn any defense, so the Pats should shut down the Bills offense.  Ryan Fitzpatrick is taking over as the starter for the Bills for an almost non existent pass game.  The Pats were solid in week one against the Bengals but struggled against the Jets in week two, but expect them to bounce back here hosting the Bills.
30 points allowed, 1 Sack, 1 INT

LiLbRo's Upset of the Week(2-0)
Jets over @ Dolphins

Consensus Pick5(6-4)
Patriots over Bills
Ravens over Browns
Bengals over @Panthers
Colts over Broncos
Packers over @Bears

Practice Squad
QB - Josh Freeman vs Steelers - 20 for 31 184 yards 1 INT
RB - Jahvid Best @ Vikings - 7 for 36, 2 Catches for 13 Yards
RB - Ronnie Brown vs Jets - 11 for 54, 2 Catches for -1 Yards
WR - Braylon Edwards @ Dolphins - 2 Catches for 87 Yards, TD
WR - Eddie Royal vs Colts - 4 Catches for 23 Yards
WR - Mohamed Massaquoi @ Ravens - 0 Catches
TE - Brandon Pettigrew @ Vikings - 6 Catches for 44 Yards
K - Rian Lindell @ Patriots - 3 for 4 FGs 3XPs
DEF - NY Giants vs Titans - 29 points allowed, 1 Sack

  1. who do you like for this week 3's game??

    Louis Murphy vs. Ariz.
    Mark Clayton vs. Wash.
    Steve Breaston vs. Oak

I know that if Gradkoswki starts for the Oak that Murphy will get a lot thrown to him.

Clayton is getting the red zone looks as well as being the go-to guy.

Fitzgerald in Arizona is banged up and Breaston playing at home should have a very good game so WHO do i start??

    ReplyDelete
  2. It funny I thought the Redskins Defense looked GREAT against the Cowboys in Week1, then last week they give up 500 Passing yards to the Texans. That being said I think the Redskins have a good defense and they will control Sam Bradford and the Rams receiving core so I would avoid Clayton.

Louis Murphy is not much of a Fantasy Player especially in that Raiders offense. I would avoid him as well.

Steve Breaston has always been a player I was waiting for to breakout and this is def his year. Even without Warner the Cards still toss the pigskin around and Breaston will be targeted enough to warrant a start. He is your guy.

  3. Bit of trade advice this week, as the starting lineup is pretty straightforward...

Have a RB core of D. Williams, Forte, B. Jackson & Fred Taylor and a WR core of Megatron, TO, Clayton, Mike Williams (Sea) & Lee Evans.

Been offered Leon Washington & Braylon 'DWI' Edwards for Lee Evans & Fred Taylor.

Obviously the whole DWI incident with Edwards adds to any risk on this. If he goes and gets slapped with a hefty ban, or is dropped by the Jets, I lose out.

Any thoughts on what you'd do if offered this trade?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Make the trade with the understanding that Edwards might not play this week.

However, once he and Holmes return to the field along Cotchery, Keller, Smith, LT, and Greene, the Jets offense should be flying.

Evans production should be easy to replace next week.

Seattles RB situation is not settled and they do not run the ball much but Washington could see more snaps as Julius Jones is running just as poorly.

Kevin Faulk is the best option of the 3 Pats RBs(Faulk, Taylor, Green-Ellis)

  5. In a league with 2 starting QBs, who should be my 2nd QB this week...Henne or Freeman? Both don't have the best matchups so I'm stuck. FYI...I have Rodgers as my 1st QB and Vick on the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Who is on the FA list cause you are correct you have unfortunate matchups this week

    ReplyDelete
  7. Really no one bc it's a 12 team/2 QB/IDP league...crazy, eh. Every QB that has a chance of playing is gone. Fitz and Clausen were picked up last nite. Even if both of them were available, they don't have favorable matchups either. I think I might roll the dice with Henne...

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yeah i personally love Henne

And the Jets do not get to the QB so much but they cover well. Marshall should get some big plays without Revis and Kyle Wilson will have to cover Hartline/Bess which is no easy task

Henne is your best bet good call

    ReplyDelete
  9. @ Rich S - Just found out Kevin Faulk has a Torn ACL but still would make the Trade as Fred Taylor will not make a difference

    ReplyDelete
  10. I had Ryan Grant and he went down for the year, i did not get Jackson in time. I have Ryan Matthews as my other RB. I have R. Wayne, Sims-Walker, D. Driver starting as my WR with B. Lloyd, Massaquoi, and Rice when he comes back. I have been proposed a trade where i get Addai for D. Driver. Should i take it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes, Addai is a great fantasy RB as he scores TDs and catches out of the backfield if you play in a PPR league. Driver is awesome but RBs are much more valuable than WRs as you can throw in a Massaquoi to fill the void until Rice comes back or pick up a decent free agent WR.

  12. flex and wr option this week?
    .5 ppr
    gaffney
    royal
    forsett
    nicks crabtree
    michael bush
    lee evans
thinking of getting rid of gaffney, pick up green ellis or tolbert

    ReplyDelete
  13. @ anonymous - What exactly are you asking?

    ReplyDelete
  14. i need to start one wide reciever and one flex spot, who shoul id roll with out of my options, also should i drop gaffney and pick up tolbert or green ellis and maybe play one of them in my flex spot

    ReplyDelete
  15. Go with Crabtree against the Chiefs as your WR and for your flex go with hakeem nicks if thats what you mean when you wrote nicks, if not go with Forsett and yea drop Gaffney for Tolbert, as you have enough WRS

  16. Thanks guys for the advice in Week 2. I pulled off the win and moved to 1-1 so thats good. Now i need some advice for week 3 in WR/RB/TE spots.

    This is what I need

    WR
    WR
    WR
    RB
    RB
    TE
    W/T
    W/R/T

    Options:

WR's - Sims-Walker, Harvin (burned me twice now), Collie, Naanee, Brandon Loyd

RB's - Rice, Hightower, Benson, R. Williams, Sproles, Peyton Hillis

    TE's - D. Clark, Aaron Hernandez

Should I pick up Jacoby Jones(he's available), drop any of my RB's? And is Hernandez worth giving a shot in week 3? He has a good matchup at home against Buffalo?

Just throw the advice at me...I really dont want to fall behind this week. Thanks for any advice!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wrs - Sims-Walker, Collie and Naanee
    Rbs - Rice and Benson
    TE - Clark
    W/T - Hernandez
    W/R/T - Hightower

You could use Jones at WR and you can get away with dropping Sproles as Mathews and Tolbert seem to be ahead of him. I like Hernandez this week against the awful Bills. Brady seems comfortable throwing to him and hes produced so far.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I believe i have a good team but im in dead last no ones doing anything for my team.
    My recent starters MY BENCH
    rodgers Qb Hightower
    marshall WR cooley
    ward WR edwards
    harvin WR mcnabb
    greene RB Just dropped
    S. Jackson RB Houshmanzdeh for
    celek T kevin walter
    brown WRT

What lineup should i go with for week three rite now im going to put in walter for harvin and hightower for greene

    ReplyDelete
  19. QB - Rodgers
    WR - Marshall
    WR - Ward
    WR - Walter
    RB - Jackson
    RB - Hightower
    TE - Celek
    WRT - Ronnie Brown?

Who is available on the FA Market?

You have some tough matchups but that is not a bad team at all give it time and things will even themselves out in your league

    ReplyDelete
  20. Okay, In my League I get to start QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE and 1 RB/Wr/TE. Who should I start? I have Matt Schuab and Flaco at QB. WR are Andre Johnson Randy Moss, Mike Thomas, Malcolm Floyd, Pierre Garcon, Julian Endelman, and Gordy Nelson. For RB I have Pierre Thomas, Peyton Hillis, Ricky Willians, and Mike Tolbert. TE are Brent Celek, Pettigrew, and Jermaine Gresham.

Obviously I am starting Schuab and Johnson as well as Moss, but how should I play the rest of my line-up?

    ReplyDelete
  21. QB - Schuab
    WR - Johnson
    WR - Moss
    WR - Floyd
    RB - Thomas
RB - Check back on Tolbert Status on Sat
    TE - Celek

Celek and Vick have not meshed yet but Celek is a talent and must be played. Gresham is breathing down his neck though as the Bengals are throwing more now

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm in a standard yahoo FF league. 1 QB, 2 RB + 1 flex (RB/WR).

    QB (1): Orton or Palmer
    RB (3): P. Thomas, F. Gore, A. Bradshaw, J. Best, J. Kuhn.

    What is the best play?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Palmer

The Colts have done well against the pass this year so Orton might be handing off the ball more often than throwing it

    Thomas
    Gore
    Bradshaw

Bears will force Packers to throw the football so Kuhn is a sit for week3

The Vikings will do the same to the Lions so Best is a sit as well

    ReplyDelete
  24. which running back should I play Jonathan Stewart, Shonn Green, Javid Best, Brandon Jackson or Darren Mcfadden?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi,
Which RB should I start between forsett, and felix jones?
Which WR between Louis murphy or Demaryus thomas?
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's crazy I have to ask this but pick 2 of these 4 WR's. Megatron, Fitz, Clayton, or Williams(TB). This uncertain QB situation is killing me. Also 3 of these 4 RBs. Mathews, MoJo, Run DMC, and P. Thomas. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes Ronnie brown

I jsut got walter in FA market

Thomas jones in still up for grabs but i rather go with Ronnie brown there due to he runs the wild cat
Also jason snelling i feel like im week on my rbs now since shonn greene has been a bust

and you would go with celek over cooley? im the team with aron rodgers marshall,s jackson, ward, ronnie brown, walter, celek, hightower

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm stuck between starting Mcfadden against Ariz. or jahvid best against Minnesota..I know Best is gonna be for real this season but I also know even though last week wasn't a fluke, 42 points is definitely not going to be an every week thing. Although AZ's defense is much worse than Minn how can i make the mistake of not starting jahvid again :/ as I'm sure many of his owners did..who should i give the starting job to??

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ Anonymous - Cant sit Best at this point. 5 TDs in 2 games.

@ Anonymous - Id go with Felix Jones and Thomas. Cowboys need to get it going and Jones needs to be a spark and they will look for him to get the offense moving. And Thomas has a solid QB in Orton and they looked good last week.

@ Anonymous - Megatron, Fitz, and Clayton. As well as MoJo (if thats jones-drew?), McFadden and Thomas.

@ Anonymous - Yes Celek over Cooley. I know Cooley has been solid so far with McNabb but the Eagles need Celek to step up and this might be the week Vick looks for him often.

@ Biggy - I know McFadden has been impressive but Best has just been great. 5 TDs in 2 games and not only can he run but the guy had 9 catches out of the backfield last week and if they wanna stay in this game they will get him the ball.

  30. Hey Kiethy P, thanks for the insight. In my league I have one postion that can be either a TE RB or WR. You covered all questions except who to start in this position. Scroll up a few comments and check my post 1 more time.... please!!! please

    ReplyDelete
  31. Needing to trade one of my WR for a RB... I have A. Johnson, R. Moss, and D. Jackson.. my backs are S. Greene, J. Stewart, M. Barber, and T. Jones. Which WR do I trade to up grade at RB? port standard scoring

    ReplyDelete
  32. @ Christopher - I would go with Garcon, anytime you have Peyton Manning throwing to you, you have a good chance at a nice fantasy day.

@ Anonymous - I would trade Jackson if i had to trade any of them. Obviously you wont trade the best WR in the league in Andre Johnson and Randy Moss has potential to score 15 TDs in a season. Yes Jackson can get 150 yards and a score in any week but out of the the three hes the most likey to post a 3 catch 20 yard day any given week.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I need to start 2 of the 3 RBs
Brandon Jackson, Diangelo Williams, Steven Jackson

Also, i have 1 more receiver slot to fill
MSims-Walker, Eddie Royal, Demaryius Thomas, Mark Clayton
And i have Farve and Orton for 1 QB slot. Im thinking Farve because of the matchup. What are your thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @ Anonymous - I would say the Jackson Duo, based on matchups. None of the 3 have been impressive so far, but DWilliams is going against a stingy Bengals defense, plus will be splitting time with Jonathan Stewart. You might wanna take a shot at Clayton as the Skins have been burnt in the air the 1st two weeks, and Clayton had 10 catches week 1 then 2tds last week. The Broncos are gonna look to control the game on the ground this week against Indy so thats why I wouldnt use Royal or Thomas, and the Jags pass game is struggling. Start Favre as he should break out this week, and avoid Orton for the same reason you should sit his WRs.

    ReplyDelete
  35. AIght, Thanks Lil, and Kiethy, I will check back friday to see if I should start Tolbert, I think I will though, with peyton hillis having to face Ray lewis and company

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have Michael Turner, Javid Best and Adrian Foster. Which one should sit out for week 3? I am leaning on starting Turner and Foster.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Christopher - Good luck man, let us know how it works out!

@ Anonymous - Its hard to sit Best after his fast start. However he does have the worst matchup. Foster didnt do too much last week so who knows what he really is gonna turn out to be. Deff start Turner and then decide on what you wanna do with the other 2.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have a squad of Okay running backs. Who should i to start this week? 2 starters and 1 flex spot.. Clinton Portis, Thomas Jones, Cadillac Williams, Felix Jones, Justin Forsett, and I just picked up Mike Tolbert.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So I'm having TE trouble. I picked up Owen Daniels in the draft, but he hasn't been putting up numbers at all. I have Marcedes Lewis as well, and just got Jermaine Gresham. Aaron Hernandez is floating around in the FA pool too. What do you think I should do? and who should start this week?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hey this is what i need

    WR
    WR
    WR
    WR
    RB
    RB
    TE
    W/T
    W/R
    W/R

    options:

WR: sims-walker,hines ward, donald driver, danny ammendola, chris chambers, damaryius thomas, dervey henderson, micheal jenkins( pretty sure hes out), arrelious benn

RB: clinton portis, marshawn lynch, kevin smith

    TE: kellen winslow, Jeremy Shockey

also whos the best to trade for another RB... im really low there

    ReplyDelete
  41. Having trouble with what RB's to start this week. I need to start 3, 10 team league, h2h PPR. My RB's are:

    Michael Turner
    Jahvid Best,
    Ahmad Bradshaw,
    LaDainian Tomlinson
    Mike Tolbert

I'm starting the first 3 as of now, but with Matthews possibly out would Tolbert be a better option than one of the others, or even LT?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Who do you like in TE for Week 3
    V. Davis vs KC
    or
    D. Keller vs MIA

I'm very tempted to play Keller due to latest performance and the whole Braylon ordeal, however MIA D has been looking tuff and Davis is due to finid the end zone. What do you think, thanks Guys!

    ReplyDelete
  43. @ Apollo Creed -

It looks like Tolbert will be playing this week so I suggest giving him the start. Clinton Portis and Thomas Jones are your safest plays this week, with Cadillac Williams playing the STeelers, Felix Jones and the Cowboys cant run the ball, and the Seahawks do not even attempt to run the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @ Zactus -

Hernandez is your man this week. 6 catches against the Jets for over 100 yards, imagine what he does against the Bills. Daniels is still hurting and it has shown. Mercedes Lewis is not a great fantasy play in a PPR but he has been looked at in the Red Zone. Gresham is also a great rookie TE but the Bengals need to get their run game going in order to be successful and this might be the week they do it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @ Blake -

Why are you so low on good players? How many people are in your league

    WR - Sims-Walker
    WR - Ward
    WR - Driver
    WR - Thomas
    RB - Portis
RB - Lynch (What about FA?)
    TE - Winslow
    W/T - Shockey
    W/R - Henderson
    W/R - Ammendola

You really need to pick up a RB and another WR

    ReplyDelete
  46. @ Nick -

Go with Turner and Best. Best has been a BEAST in the first two weeks, and Turner is supposed to play. But keep an eye on Turner right up until the kickoff, if you dont feel safe with Turner than give the start to Bradshaw

    ReplyDelete
  47. @ Nick - Sorry forgot you needed 3

    Best
    Turner/Bradshaw
    Bradshaw/Tolbert

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ Anonymous -

How could you not play Vernon Davis?

And yes the dolphins D is scary good right now

    ReplyDelete
  49. Should I drop t. Jones and pickup tolbert?.. my backs are hurting and I feel tolbert would be a nice feel in. My backs are Greene, Stewart, barber, t Jones.. any thoughts

    ReplyDelete
  50. @ Anonymous - I would not drop Thomas Jones. Tolbert is only going to fill in until Mathews can get back on the field. Jones is the primary back in KC and its pretty clear Jamaal Charles will only get about 10 carries a game. Plus Jones is the goal line back as well.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Which 2 would u take ur chances with out of 4 listed above

    ReplyDelete
  52. Unfortunately they all are facing good defenses. But I think the Cowboys Texans game will be a shoot out, so I like the idea of Barber scoring a couple of times in that one, and ill go with Jones because he will get the majority of the carries and goal line touches.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hey guys I'm having a WR dilemma. I have Colston, Roddy White and Maclin available. I'm thinking of starting White for sure, but my choice is tough with Colston and Maclin. Colston hasn't had huge #s the past 2 weeks and my opponent is starting Vick. Should I risk sitting Colston and snake possible points off Vick to keep things close?

    ReplyDelete
  54. @ Anonymous - Deff start White he burns the Saints in the past. But I think its Colston week to do something. The Falcons secondary is not very strong and this could be a shootout..34-28 type game. It should be a lot of balls aired out in this one which makes it hard to sit White or Colston. You dont want to risk sitting Colston for Maclin when Colston could explode and Maclin might have 4 catches for 30 yards and nothing else.

    ReplyDelete
  55. what's up fellas? need to come up with 2 flex starters:

    mike williams (tb) vs. pittsburgh
    driver against chicago
    tony gonzalez vs. new orleans
    demaryius thomas vs. colts

    it's a ppr league.

i think williams has a terrible match up, so i am almost definitely sitting him, and i am also leaning towards starting driver. so i guess it really comes down to gonzo or thomas in my mind. what do you guys think? any opinions are appreciated. thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I need to start 1 of 3 players as WR

    Mark Clayton Vs Washington
    Austin Collie Vs Denver
    Mike Sims-Walker Vs Philadelphia

They all seem about even this week....I think I'm leaning toward Mark Clayton

    ReplyDelete
  57. @DME - Go with Drive and Tony G. I expect good things from both of them this week in big division games.

@ Please help - Go with Collie. Garcon is out so that means more passes Collies way.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @ Please Help -

I Hope you listened to LiLbRo!! Collie killed it yesterday!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hey guys, I forgot to post that your help for week 2 helped me pull off a win, but I'm sad to report that the advice of benching Maclin for Colston didn't work out so well this week. Can't win em all and I'm only 2-1 so I have no qualms coming back for more advice. Keep up the good work.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sorry that didn't work out. Figured colston was in a better situation to be productive but it was lance Moore stealing the show for the saints. Def underestimated vicks talent.

    ReplyDelete
  61. 159.48 pts in my 10 man ppr league for week 3. Thanks for the great advice guys.

My whole team played awesome and the advice turned out good...minus the advice to bench peyton hillis...but i dont think anyone expected that to happen. I got a beast in Cleveland now.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yeah sorry Olliver I couldnt believe how well Hillis ran against the Ravens. Sorry about that but I hope you dont lose faith in us!

    ReplyDelete
  63. 2 questions. I'm in a PPR league where return yds count, and have to start 2RBs and for the Flex spot I can start K Walter or a 3rd RB. After byes and injuries here are my active RBs:
    Joe Addai
    Steve Jackson
    Darren Sproles
    CJ Spiller
    Jason Snelling

    I need RB1, RB2 and Flex
My lean is Addai,SJax(if active),CJ Spiller(he could spend much of the game returning kickoffs)
Who would you advise? Also if SJax cant go who do I go to?
    -Mike

    ReplyDelete
  64. RB1 - Addai, RB2 - Jackson if healthy if not go Snelling. He will get his carries this week. Flex - Go with Walters. With or without Johnson he will produce.
