What a day of football!  Some overtime games, lots of upsets, and some big players are out with injuries.

  • The Houston Texans suffered a huge lose with Demeco Ryans tearing his left Achilles tendon and is out for the season!
  • Chris Cooley suffered a concussion during Sunday Night Football.  Keep an eye on that situation Cooley owners.
  • Joseph Addai left the game last night after suffering a shoulder injury.  He was questionable coming into the game with a neck injury.  Mike Hart filled in very nicely and should be picked up if available.
  • UPDATE: Gates will most likely play week 7 while Malcom Floyd will most likely miss the game. The Chargers lost Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd to injuries during the game.  Gates was wearing a protective boot on his ankle after the game.  Neither injury looks too serious.
  • Another great TE got hurt during week 6, Vernon Davis suffered an injury to the head, neck, shoulder area and was put on the post game injury report.
  • Josh Cribbs also suffered a head injury after taking this hit from the Steelers James Harrison.
  • Shaun Hill broke his left forearm against the Giants and is out for a while.  With Stafford still out, Drew Stanton filled in nicely for Hill.  With a bye week coming, the Lions better hope Stafford is ready to go week 8 as they have to face the Redskins and then the Jets.
  • Kareem Huggins finally got some playing time for Tampa and seriously hurt his knee, and might have torn ligaments.
  • Good news for the Packers as Aaron Rodgers looked sharp and Donald Lee was active for their matchup against the Dolphins.  Even though they lost, having both of those guys healthy is good news.
  • Colt McCoy started his first NFL game week 6 and lost to the Steelers.  His debut was overshadowed by the return of Ben Roethlisberger.  The Browns and McCoy lost the game and McCoy threw 2 INTs but he did complete 69% of his passes for 281 yards while finding Ben Watson in the endzone for his first career TD.  It looks like he will get the start on Sunday when the Browns face New Orleans before their week 7 bye.
  • RB Chris Ivory busted out for 158 yards for the Saints against the Tampa Bay Bucs on only 15 attempts.  He is the first Saints rookie RB to do so since Ricky Williams.  Is he still available in your league?

  1. Good morning! need 3 RBs in a PPR league. Have active SJax, J Charles, Ryan Torain, and Chris Ivory (also have D Woodhead but using him as a WR this week). Thinking of sitting Torain because of his matchup/Chi. Which 3 would you use? -Mike

  2. @ Anonymous - Gotta go SJax, Charles and Id go with Torain. Ivory had a big week last week but sharing time with both Julius Jones and Ladell Betts, you never know who will get the carries. Torain had a big week and should continue to tare it up.

  3. Hey I'm seeing a lot of good options this week to better my team. I'm looking at replacing Santonio i'm a little unsure whether i'm being hasty on it but I think there's better options on waiver this week. These are the players i'm looking at.

Patrick Crayton (with Gates and Floyd hurt)

    Deon Branch

    Roy Williams

    Pierre Garcon.

I have 1 open spot + if i drop Holmes i'll have an extra one. Who would you recommend I go for?

  4. @ Ed - You got some real good choices there. I would say go with Garcon. He has Peyton Manning throwing him the ball and thats always a good thing. However hes been slowed by injuries and that could be a season long issue. Also he has a BYE this week so if you want somebody now, Id say go with Williams as hes been the main target for Romo at the goalline. However keep an eye on Branch and see if his chemistry with Brady continues and becomes the player he once was when he had Brady throwing to him.

  5. I'm low on options, so maybe I'm looking for a pat on the back for these picks

    QB - E. Manning
    WR - B. Lloyd
    WR - S. Moss
    RB - R. Mendenhall
    RB - D. McFadden
    TE - K. Winslow
    W/R- S. Breaston
    K -- J. Reed
    Def- PIT

    BENCH
    RB - R. Mathews
    TE - C. Cooley
    QB - M. Vick
    WR - K. Britt

BYE - Calvin Johnson, J. Best

I'm hoping Moss posts some better than consistent numbers against CHI Pass D. Cooley is iffy with that concussion and Davis did decent with the remaining bit of the 4th quarter. Mathews still hasn't done much. Taking Breaston over Britt due to SEA's low pass D.

    What do you think?

BTW, spot on with your prediction last week. Thanks.

  6. Jason remember that Breaston is returning from injury and has rookie Max Hall tossing him the ball.

I think Kenny Britt is a great option to score again. He is a big boy and wins jump balls. If this is a non PPr league I would say play Britt. But if its a PPR than Breaston should be an ok play

What did we tell you last week that worked for you?
