Week 10 Injury Report
KeithyP's Favs of the Week
Fav QB Matchup - Ben Roethlisberger vs Patriots - The Steelers are 3-1 with and without Ben.  But they only scored more than 20 points once with out him and 3 times with him.  The Steelers should be able to move the ball against New England and will put up points.  Ben will put up big fantasy points.

Fav RB Matchup - LeSean McCoy @ Redskins - Back in week 4 McCoy had 12 catches for 110 yards and 64 rushing yards on 16 carries against Washington.  Expect similar numbers this week if not better rushing totals.

Fav WR Matchup - Calvin Johnson @ Bills - Megatron only had 1 reception against the Jets, but Bufallo's D is nowhere near the Jets D.  Even without Matthew Stafford, Johnson is a top 3 receiver in the league and he will shred this Bills D no matter who is tossing him the pigskin.
10 catches 128 yards 1td

Fav TE Matchup - Tony Gonzalez vs Ravens - Tony G matched his season high last week with 8 receptions.  The offense has been geared towards Roddy White this season, but with him playing injured, Tony G should see his targets go up.
4 catches for 38 yards

Fav DEF Matchup - Buccaneers vs Panthers - No DeAngelo William, Jonathan Stewart or Matt Moore for Carolina means no points scored against Tampa Bay.  The Bucs are on a roll and this will be an easy day for the Tampa D.
16 points allowed 2sacks 1fumble recovery

KeithyP's Upset of the Week(3-6)
Eagles @ Redskins

LiLbRo's Favs of the Week -
Fav QB Matchup - Eli Manning vs. Cowboys - Just three weeks ago Eli Manning was 25 of 35 for 306 yards with 4 TDs against the Cowboys.  Yes he threw 3 INTs but 2 of them were on the first two possessions and were tipped passes.  The Cowboys are not focused at all knowing their season is over, and the defense has really showed it.  They gave up 45 points to GB last week and Eli Manning should continue the slaughter of the Dallas defense at home.  Not to mention Eli is third in the NFL with 17 TD passes, 1 more than older brother Peyton.

Fav RB Matchup - Thomas Jones/ Jamaal Charles @ Broncos - The Broncos ranked 30th in rushing yards allowed at 155 yards per game and have given up a leagues worst 14 rushing TDs.  The Chiefs love to keep the ball on the ground and the combo of Jones and Charles has been lethal so far this year.  They both should enjoy great success on the ground in Denver.

Fav WR Matchup - Andre Johnson @ Jaguars - The Jags have been burned by the pass all year long, and it wont get any easier for them this week facing off with Andre Johnson.  Schaub has struggled this year but should get back in rhythm here.
9 catches 146 yards 1td

Fav TE Matchup - Jacob Tamme vs. Bengals - Manning has not missed a step since Clark was placed on IR.  Tamme stepped into the lineup and has produced.  In his two starts Tamme has racked up 17 catches 172 yards and a TD in each game.  Expect more production out of Tamme when the Colts host the Bengals as Collie will be inactive in this one.
7 catches 73 yards

Fav DEF Matchup - Giants vs. Cowboys - The Cowboys are falling apart with still the 2nd half of the NFL season to play.  Thats good news for the Giants as they look to build on their NFC East lead.  In Kitnas first two starts, the Cowboys have put up 24 points and he was sacked 6 times with 6 INTs, and the rest of the team has lost 2 fumbles and allowed 2 Packers defensive TDs.

LiLbRo's Upset of the Week(4-5)

  1. Hey guys, I am in a 2 QB league, and rivers in on a bye week and Stafford is injured. I just picked up Troy smith, but should I drop him and pick up Shaun Hill or Chad pennington? Since Chad is starting now

  2. Also, Lagarrett blount or Thomas Jones?

  3. Should I start Matt Ryan or Fitz this week?

  4. I'm in a PPR league. I'm starting Blount, but who should I have as my second RB? Torain, D. Brown, or pick up Goodson for the Panthers since TB's run D is terrible?

  5. which WR should I start. I have 3 spots and 2 are prob going to be andre johnson and brandon marshall. which of these 3 should be my number 3?
    - Nate Washington

  6. @ SilverNBlack - I dont think Chad will be a valuable QB for fantasy. I think by starting him means that the Dolphins will look to get their run game going again and will look for screen passes and short passes to Bess. I would pick up Hill tho, if you look at the pickups for the week, I explain why you should

  7. @ SilverNBlack - Id go with Jones, great matchup with the Broncos who have given up the most TDs to RBs this year. Blount didnt get the carries last week after a hgue game the week before so its hard to trust him now

  8. @ Zactus - I like Fitzpatrick here. The Lions defense can be thrown on, and Fitzpatrick has formed a chemistry with Johnson and Evans. Roddy White is banged up and I never like starting anyone against Baltimore even tho they aren't the same defense, if I feel I have a better matchup.

  9. @ Sethius - If Addai and Hart are out, deff go with Brown. I wouldn't go with Goodson because you have better options, plus the Panthers offense is so bad that you cant hope for a big game from him.

  10. @ G - Avoid Woodhead this week going against the Steelers. With the addition of Moss, and Brit being out, I think Nate Washington will really benefit from this. However it depends on who will be playing QB. But I think he will have a big week, but Holmes I also feel will have his best game as a Jet this week.

  11. should i start miles austin or crabtree? I know you guys think i'm crazy for even asking BUT the NYG just look like absolute beasts..and i don't think Kitna will get much time to do ANYTHING..also 49ers are coming off a bye week @ home as well

  12. I hate sitting my studs but I see Turner pulling in 60 yards and no TD's this week against Baltimore. Do I play Best vs. Buffalo instead? Other RB is Foster so I'm good there.

Also, picked up Garrard with the intention of benching Flacco...thoughts?

  13. Should I start Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler, or Brett Favre? Also should I be worried about Roddy White tonight?

  14. Which is a better TE matchup, Kellen Winslow vs. Car or Aaron Hernandez @ Pit?

    Thanks

  15. I have a banged up Roddy White vs. a Ravens defense, with Brandon Lloyd and Santonio Holmes on my bench. Should I swap one of them for White? Which one has the better matchup? I'm leaning Lloyd vs. the Chiefs, but it's so hard not to start White when he came back in last game after getting injured. I'm also starting Hines Ward and Desean Jackson, if perhaps one of those is replaceable, too.

  16. @ SilverNBlack - I would still roll with Austin. Yes Kitna sucks and the Dallas offense is not very good. However the Giants should dominate this one which means Kitna should throw the ball close to 50+ times. If its a PPR league Austin is a good play as he might rack up the catches and might get a cheap score late. I would avoid Crabtree with Troy Smith playing QB as he hasn't proven anything.

  17. @ Anonymous - Best is really struggling as of late, and with Stafford out it might hurt his value even more. Its hard to sit Turner tonite but if you feel like Baltimore's run defense is too good then roll with Best. I also picked up Garrard this week as he has an awesome matchup. I dont think its a bad idea sitting Flacco for him.

  18. @ Matt - White is good to start tonight so roll with him. As for QB go with Orton as he's been the most consistent.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @ Kelly - Go with Hernandez. Winslow has done absolutley nothing this year and it doesn't seem like he's getting any better either. Hernandez scored 2 TDs last week, and if Pitt takes away the run game then Hernandez might see a lot of targets his way.

  20. @ JJ Spaceman - Leave your lineup as is. They're saying White's injury was only minor and should be at full speed tonight against the Ravens. He's averaging 100 yards per game, even not at 100% he's hard to sit.

  21. Thanks for the advice, LiLbRo. I benched Turner but didn't have the guts to pull Flacco.
Shut the game off early, disgusted by his interception, but woke up with a nice surprise!

  23. Damn, wish I'd checked back before the game. I got paranoid and swapped White with Lloyd. Lloyd did alright, but not as good as White, and Hines Ward just did all sorts of "let me down" last night.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ JJ - yea its tough to sit a guy as talented as White, but Ward got injured early in the 1st QTR and did not return so he was a disappointment.
