Have a dilemma at RB/WR? Can’t figure out which player to start? Leave your question in the comment section and we will hook you up with the right answer!

If we have given you a suggestion as to who you should play, please reply on Monday or Tuesday and let us know what you did and if it worked!

Fav QB Matchup –  Matthew Stafford @ Cowboys - The Boys secondary is bad, and the Lions OLine should give Stafford enough time to pick them apart.  Stafford has the best WR in football in Megatron, a top flight TE in Pettigrew, an explosive RB in Best, a savvy vet in Burleson and an up and coming slot receiver in Titus Young.  How can the Cowboys stop him?
  • 21 completions for 240 yards a 2 scores, it wasn't until late that Stafford figured things out.  Lucky for him it was perfect timing as the Lions came from behind and won in dramatic fashion.

Fav RB Matchup –  Ryan Matthews vs Dolphins - Matthews has been everything the Chargers and fantasy owners were looking for last year.  The Dolphins have been everything that everyone thought they would be...bad.
  • He took his 8 carries 49 yards and his 5 catches for another 68.  Over 100 total yards is nice but he failed to get into the endzone for that extra boost.

Fav WR Matchup – A.J. Green vs Bills – Green has shown the ability to be a big time wideout and the Bills have allowed a lot of passing yards.
  • AJ led the way with 4 catches for 118 yards, as the Bengals became the first team to knock down the Bills.  Again, a TD would have made this a great game.

Fav TE Matchup – Kellen Winslow vs Colts – Winslow has yet to have a big game(and a TD)early on this season, but a matchup against the Colts should help.
  • 5 Catches is nice, but if you own him in a NON PPR league, 33 yards is a waste.

Fav DEF MatchupChicago Bears vs Panthers - Cam Newton lost all his momentum last week in a game destroyed by the weather.  A loss of confidence plus a game against the Chicago Bears defense should provide nice results for owners of the Bears.
  • I don't think anyone could have predicted Cam to go off on the Bears the way he did.  However, they did score two Defensive/Special Teams TDs so for that they saved their week.

Upset of the Week(1-2)
Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick 6(12-6)
Bears vs Panthers
Saints @ Jaguars
Redskins @ Rams
Falcons @ Seahawks
Patriots @ Raiders
Packers vs Broncos

  1. Well, I got a win last week. Tolbert didnt do hsit as my flex, should've played Fred Jackson. Oh well. Okay 10 person league, PPR, I need 3 WR 2 RB and 1 Flex. 1 TE

WR: Dwayne Bowe, AJ Green, Torrey Smith, Devery Henderson, Mike Williams (TB) Johnny KNox

RB: Tolbert, Ryan Mathews, Fred Jackson, Mendenhall, Bernard Scott

    TE: Vernon Davis, Pettigrew

    Flex: anyone above not selected.

I am thinking WR: Green, Torrey, Bowe, RB: Mathews, Jackson. TE: Davis, FLEX: Mendenhall

  2. I'm kicking around the idea of dropping BJGE for a free agent grab, either S. Ridley or K. Hunter. Am I losing out on much by dropping BJGE? Would I be gaining more by adding Ridley or Hunter?

The potential is there for Ridley to take BJGE's job, but NE is heavy with the pass offense (BJGE isn't getting any looks there either). As for Hunter, I was hoping an early speculative grab would pay off and Gore would be out for week 4.

Looking for some analysis on this. If it helps, I'm working with a mild RB situation as a whole: R. Mendenhall, S. Greene, M. Tolbert, W. McGahee.

  3. Chris -

Sorry about the Tolbert debacle last week. Who saw that coming? Fred jackson and the Bills have earned fantasy respect this year and he is a must start each week. Ryan Matthews has done the same.

WR I would not fall in love with Torrey just yet. Nice pick up but Henderson might be the safer play. Just something to think about.

Mendenhall is not the greatest fantasy player, and I am learning the hard way. especially in a PPR. That being said, you might be best playing the other TE at the Flex if possible.

All signs point to Gore playing this week. Ridley was killing it during the preseason and if he can take the field he will gain yards. It is to early to play either RB though.

You will have to sit tight with your RBs for this week. With no new injuries things are pretty much as they were last week.

  5. Thank you for the advice. I'll sit and see how things develop.

I eeked out a win last week despite the Britt blowout and DeSean and Rashard's lackluster numbers. D. Nelson was the proper call on the flex position, so your advice last week helped.

Now for this week... 2WR/ 2RB/ TE & FLEX for a 10 Team PPR.

    WR - D. Jackson, P. Harvin, L. Moore, D. Nelson, J. Nelson.
    RB - R. Mendenhall, S. Greene, W. McGahee, R. Tolbert, BJGE.
    TE - Keller, Winslow.

  6. Should I start Eli Manning or Big Ben this week, and why?

Also in my 12 man NON PPR league should I sit Reggie Wayne and play Denarius Moore or David Nelson instead, Brandon Marshall is my other WR? Who and Why?

Or should I bench Gore and use Hightower as my RB2 and then keep Wayne in and use Moore or Nelson as my flex?

  7. So basically should I go with

    Roethlisberger
    Wayne
    Marshall
    Gore
    Foster
    Graham
    Hightower at Flex

    or

    Roethlisberger
    Wayne
    Marshall
    Hightower
    Foster
    Graham
    Moore at Flex

    or

    Roethlisberger
    Moore
    Marshall
    Foster
    Gore
    Graham
    Hightower at Flex

Eli is in my other league, him or big ben?

    Flex - Lance Moore

Big Ben vs Eli I would always go Eli. I am not a fan of Ben's game even though his #s are better than Eli's at the moment. Both QBs are on the road but I think Houston(Big Ben) is the tougher matchup, plus Eli has shown confidence in throwing to his RBs this season which is a positive.

DMoore has just 15 Targets compared to Waynes 31 and Nelson's 27. BMarsh has 32 targets. You can not pay Moore with the other 3 Wideouts on your roster. I would Play Nelson and Marshall as the QB situation in Indy is Iffy!

  10. I have tough running back matchups this week.
    Felix Jones VS DET
Stephen Jackson VS WAS (& his hamstring)
Ben Tate VS PIT (& Arian Foster)

Adrian Peterson is my RB1 and I was thinking on maybe starting Dexter McCluster as my RB2 against a week MIN run defense since my other RB situations are terrible. Non PPR. What do you think?

  11. Lucky for you AP is ranked #1 this week.

Felix Jones SJax and Tate are all battling injuries.

Jax looks like he is fully ready to go this week. "He'll have a pretty nice matchup against the Redskins who gave up double-digit fantasy points to Ahmad Bradshaw, Beanie Wells and Felix Jones in the season's first three weeks."

  12. Play Flacco or Kolb?! I just can't decide.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I have Kolb at QB and could use an upgrade. i offered brandon jacobs and eric decker for ryan fitzpatrick. He came back with daniel thomas and decker for fitz and denver defense. i'm thinking more like thomas/decker for fitz/deangelo williams? what do you think, am i asking for too much, should i take his offer, or am i ok with Kolb and keeping thomas> Thanks

  14. The Jets are 6th in the league in yards allowed and have allowed just 2 passing TDs all season to 5 interceptions.

The Giants are 20th in the league in yardsw allowed and have allowed 3 Tds to 3 INTs.

Kolb and Flacco's #s are very similar, but Flacco had two huge games and 1 bad game. Kolb has been very consistant. With the way the Jets just got run over by DMcFadden, don't expect the Ravens to pass the ball much.

Larry Fitz vs Giants seconday. I would play Kolb.

  15. Mean Machine, if you are looking to upgrade Kolb, why would you make a trade that doesn't net you a Qb?

Who is available to add to your roster?

    ReplyDelete
  16. the trade would be ryan fitzpatrick and deangelo williams for daniel thomas and eric decker. Is this a good trade?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Who is replacing Decker and Thomas in your lineup? Or were they just riding the pine?

    ReplyDelete
  18. decker was on bench and i would replace thomas with williams or brandon jacobs

    ReplyDelete
  19. I would make the deal. Fitzy and the Bills are going to score all season long. jacobs is still getting his fair share of carries and goal line TDs. Decker and Thomas have been nice the past two weeks, but who nkows how long they last. Just don't play DWill until the Panthers show a passion for the run game.

  20. Need advice on TE to play.

    Dallas Clark vs. Tony Gonzalez

Painter will start against NYG, but Ryan is away @ SEA

    thoughts?

    thanks
