Fantasy Football Pickups for Week 14

Thursday Night Football December 8
Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Must Haves
Marion Barber RB – And just like that a Star player was injured and this category has a name in it.  Barber has been stealing TDs from Forte for weeks now, so it is likely that he is already on someone else’s roster.  However, if you own Forte and need help this late in the season, make sure you look for Barber before going a different route.
  • Still a must have, but rumor is that he will split time with Kahlil Bell
Solid Pickups

Brad Smith WR – Buffalo has lost their top RB in Fred Jackson for the year, and are opening up the passing game.  Smith has 11 catches on 17 targets in the past two weeks totalling 149 receiving yards and this amazing touchdown.

Logan Paulsen TE - Chris Cooley is on the IR and Fred Davis is suspended.  Paulsen is the only other TE on the roster.  He might only have 7 catches on the season, but it is pretty safe to assume he will be involved in the offense for the rest of the season.
  • He was not that invovled in college in the passing game UCLA(71 catches 888 yards and 1 TD in his 4 years) but neither was Giants TE Jake Ballard at Ohio State(34/377/3).

Good For A Week
Riley Cooper WR – With Maclin out and DeSean Jackson playing with a bad attitude, Cooper has gone for 70+ yards 3 straight weeks.

Players to Watch
Brandon Saine RB – With James Starks’ status uncertain for the remainder of the season, and the Packers locking up the division, Saine could see a ton of playing time from here on out.  He has been given the title of “Best Hands” by Aaron Rodgers, and his value could be much greater in a PPR league.

Upset of the Week (3-10)
Giants @ Cowboys

Pick 6 (57-21)
Steelers vs Browns
Patriots @ Redskins
Ravens vs Colts
Lions vs Vikings
Saints @ Titans
Broncos vs Bears
