Ryan Matthews - Broken Clavicle Out 4-6 Weeks

And Fantasy Football season has OFFICIALLY begun!  Last night on Ryan Matthews first preseason snap, he suffered a broken clavicle and will miss the rest of preseason as well as 2 or 3 regular season games.  Obviously Matthews is no longer worthy of a 1st or 2nd round pick but he will still be a top 15 RB come seasons end.

CALLING RONNIE BROWN!

Has a running back ever failed in Norv Turner's offense?  Ronnie Brown has a TON of early season value now and is worth being drafted, but not worth reaching for, unless you already drafted Ryan Matthews.  In previous seasons, Mike Tolbert and Darren Sproles have earned plenty of fantasy value playing the backup role in San Diego.  If Ronnie Brown can put up big time numbers as the starting RB in the first couple of weeks, you can fully expect him to see enough snaps to warrant keeping on a roster.
However, all of that being said, be VERY careful if you plan on drafting Ronnie Brown.  If you have a bench spot left, and Brown is available go for it.  But by all means, do not draft Brown to be your RB2!  Ryan Matthews could potentially be ready for Week 1!

Clipboard: Mike Vick banged his thumb against a helmet last night but x-rays came back negative.  Just something to keep an eye on!
