QB Match-ups to Avoid

Carson Palmer @ Bengals - If there was ever a week you wanted to lean on Carson Palmer to help you get a W in fantasy football, it was last week against the dreadful Saints secondary.  He finished with 312 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs.  Not the greatest of games against the 31st ranked pass defense.  He'll have a tougher time against the Bengals who made Eli Manning look like he didn't belong in the NFL and held the Chiefs passing game to 171 yards and no TDs.  I don't expect the Bengals to make it 3 straight games without allowing a passing TD but they certainly have a great chance to shut down Palmer.

Matt Schaub @ Lions - 43/55 for 527 yards (2nd most in NFL history) with 5 TDs.  That's one of the greatest QB stat lines you'll ever see.  This happened largely because the Texans somehow were trailing the Jaguars nearly the whole game. The Lions are a top 10 pass defense in the NFL and held Aaron Rodgers in check last week.  Expect the Texans to go back to the ground and pound offense led by Arian Foster.

RB Match-ups to Avoid

Michael Turner @ Bucs - Turner has not topped 65 yards in 7 of 10 games this year and he's facing the #1 ranked run defense in the NFL this week.  On the flip side the Falcons have become a pass heavy offense with Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez.  The Bucs are ranked dead last in the NFL in pass defense.  You can figure out how the Falcons offense will attack the Bucs defense. I'll give you a hint, it wont involve Michael Turner.

Reggie Bush vs Seahawks - With 3 straight GREAT RB match-ups (Colts, Titans, Bills) Reggie Bush has done close to nothing. In those 3 games he has combined for 24 carries for 82 yards with a TD and a fumble lost.  Daniel Thomas has 23 carries in that stretch of games.  So it looks like Reggie Bush is slowly but surely losing that starting RB job as he'll be a free agent at the end of the year.  Bush hasn't had more than 10 carries or 41 in his last 3 games and this week he goes up against the 12th ranked Seattle Seahawks run defense.

Trent Richardson vs Steelers - You don't run against the Steelers and we saw it Sunday night in Pittsburgh.  Ray Rice had 20 carries for 40 yards.

WR Match-ups to Avoid

Brandon Marshall vs Vikings - Yes he scored a TD against the 49ers but do not expect it to happen against the Vikings.  Jason Campbell is an awful NFL QB and this Bears offensive line is so bad right now that Brandon Marshall has about 3 seconds to get open or there is no chance of him seeing a ball come his way.  Campbell either gets sacked before the play develops or hes scrambling for his life and he can't complete a pass on the run. Jay Cutler is missed by this Bear's team and until he returns its a risk starting Brandon Marshall despite how good of a WR he is.

Mike Wallace @ Browns - With Big Ben out I thought Wallace still had a chance to make a few plays deep down the field with Leftwich at QB. Now Leftwich is out with broken ribs and 37 year old Charlie Batch is stepping in.  With no Antonio Brown, Wallace is guaranteed to see CB Joe Haden. So with 3rd string QB under center and going against a top cornerback, it doesn't look like Wallace will do much against the Browns

TE Match-ups to Avoid

Jermichael Finley @ Giants - Finley had his first respectable fantasy game in a long time with 3 catches for 66 yards and a TD.  But don't get too excited. He still has yet to see more than 3 targets in the past two weeks and the Packers face a hungry NY Giants football team.  Finley might be more involved in the blocking game as he'll try to help the offensive line contain the Giants front 4.

Heath Miller @ Browns - Big Ben wanted to get Heath Miller to the Pro Bowl this year and he was absolutely on his way.  Now that Big Ben is out and Leftwich is out, it's hard to imagine you can rely on Heath Miller moving forward. Since Big Ben went out Miller has 6 catches for 69 yards and hasn't found the end zone in 3 weeks.  You have to assume with a 3rd string QB and injuries at the WR position that the Steelers will be a ground and pound offense until Big Ben returns.

DEF Match-ups to Avoid

Jets vs Patriots - Don't think that because the Patriots lost Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez wont be 100% if he plays that Tom Brady and this Patriots offense will struggle against a Jets defense that has absolutely no pass rush.  Brady will have ALL day to stand around in the pocket finding Welker and Edelman across the middle and he will pick apart this Jets defense all night.  In my opinion he's the MVP of the NFL and has not thrown a INT in 4 weeks (11 TDs in that span).  Brady and the Pats will once again beat an awful Jets team and they'll win big in front of a miserable Jets crowd.

Cowboys vs Redskins - RG3 is pretty much unstoppable and was nearly perfect last week against the Eagles.  The Cowboys defense will have a long day trying to contain him as he'll beat them with his legs and his cannon of an arm.
