Fantasy Football Week 13 - Are You Playoff Bound?

We are in two Yahoo Fantasy Football leagues, a 12 & 20 team.

In the 12 team league, just 3 teams have clinched a playoff spot, including a 12-0-0 team.  There are two teams 7-5 and two teams 6-6 fighting for the last 3 spots.  There is even a 5-7 team that could still make the playoffs with a W and loses from the 6-6 teams all based on points!

In the 20 team league, 6 of the 8 spots are locked up but one of the 4 divisions is still up for grabs as is the final 8 seed.  Three 6-6 teams are all hoping for a W and a L for the one 7-5 team.

How are your leagues playoffs shaping up?  Is Week 13 important or is the seeding already set?  Let us know in the comment section!

QB Match-ups to Avoid

Philip Rivers vs Bengals - The Bengals own the leagues most underrated defense and have allowed just 1 passing TD in the last 3 weeks while forcing 3 interceptions.  They have not allowed more than 13 points in that same span to Eli Manning, the Chiefs and Carson Palmer.  Rivers has hit the 250 yard mark just twice in his last 5 contests.  He is completing passes above his career average at 66.8% for the year but has attempted just 36 passes over 20 yards all season long.

Jay Cutler vs Seahawks - I am sure by now Cutler owners have realized this but the Bears own the leagues WORST pass attack.  The Seahawks are top 3 against the Pass.  Not a good matchup.  The Bears line has allowed 35 sacks this year and the Seahawks have totaled 29 sacks. Cutler has hit 200 yards just once since OCTOBER 7TH!

Joe Flacco vs Steelers - Just two weeks ago the Ravens beat the Steelers 13-10.  Flacco completed 20 passes for just 162 yards and did not throw a TD while being sacked twice.  Expect a repeat performance.

RB Match-ups to Avoid

Alfred Morris vs Giants - Last time the Redskins played the Giants Alfred Morris rushed for 120 yards on 22 carries but never found the endzone.  He followed that game up with 3 straight sub-80 yard games.  With Pierre Garcon back and the Giants secondary prone to giving up BIG BIG plays, expect the Redskins to attempt plenty of deep balls this game to both Garcon and Santana Moss.

Knowshon Moreno @ Buccaneers I know he is one of our must owns this week(more so just because he is a starter heading into the fantasy playoffs), but the Buccaneers have not yet allowed 1000 rushing yards.  Their pass defense is so bad, Peyton Manning will never want to hand the ball off.  Part of the sub-1000 yards allowed is because of the terrible pass defense but Tampa Bay allows a league best 3.4 yards per carry.

WR Match-ups to Avoid

Dwayne Bowe vs Panthers - If Matt Cassel is the QB there is no way I have Bowe here against this Panthers defense, but Brady Quinn is so terrible and he is destroying Bowe's value.

Larry Fitzgerald @ Jets - Rex Ryan's defense is still top 10 against the pass even without Derrel Revis for most of the season.  With Antonio Cromartie covering Larry Fitzgerald and Ryan Lindley? playing QB, I would not put any faith in starting Fitzy.

TE Match-ups to Avoid

Brent Celek @ Cowboys - Two of his last three games Celek has seen just 3 targets.  The Cowboys are much improved against the Pass and without Vick, Celek will have trouble getting the ball from Nick Foles who will be under A TON of pressure with a depleted offensive line and an aggressive attack from Rob Ryan's defense.

Antonio Gates vs Bengals - Gates has just one 50 yard performance in the last 5 weeks.  What the hell happened?!

DEF Match-ups to Avoid

Minnesota Vikings @ Packers - Good luck doing to Aaron Rodgers what the Giants did to him last week.  Also, if Greg Jennings is back and healthy, LOOK OUT!
