Best Matchups for Fantasy Football Playoffs Week 14

If you are playing in Week 14, it most likely means that you are now playing in a playoff matchup.  After drafting your team and tweaking it throughout the season via waiver wire and trades, this is it.  There is likely not much left out there to do other than play the best lineup you can assemble with the players you currently own.  We want to help you make it through your playoffs and win that championship.  Week 14 is just Round 1 and while some of you have a BYE, the rest of us dont!

QBs
  • Eli Manning vs Saints - New Orleans has allowed the most fantasy points to QBs
  • Joe Flacco @ Redskins - Washington has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs
  • Peyton Manning @ Raiders - Oakland has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to QBs
  • Andrew Luck vs Titans - Tennessee has allowed the 4th most fantasy points to QBs
  • Jay Cutler @ Vikings - Minnesota has allowed the 5th most fantasy points to QBs
  • Matt Schaub @ Patriots - New England has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to QBs
  • Josh Freeman vs Eagles - Philadelphia has allowed the 8th most fantasy points to QBs
Love Peyton, Eli, Andrew, Matt & Josh.  Flacco & Cutler have great matchups but they have been so inconsistent this year I would not be very comfortable starting them.  You could argue that Schaub has been inconsistent as well but when his team needs to throw the ball and score points, he has put up monster games and a matchup with the Patriots calls for that Matt Schaub to show up.

RBs
  • Steven Jackson @ Bills - Buffalo has allowed the most fantasy points to RBs
  • Knowshon Moreno @ Raiders - Oakland has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to RBs
  • Shonn Greene @ Jaguars - Jacksonville has allowed the 4th most fantasy points to RBs
  • Ahmad Bradshaw vs Saints - New Orleans has allowed the 5th most fantasy points to RBs
  • Michael Turner @ Panthers - Carolina has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to RBs
  • CJ Spiller / Fred Jackson vs Rams - St. Louis has allowed the 7th most fantasy points to RBs
  • DeMarco Murray @ Bengals - Cincinnati has allowed the 8th most fantasy points to RBs
  • Bryce Brown @ Buccaneers - Tampa Bay has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to RBs
Bryce Brown is a TD machine.  He looked great running the ball in back to back weeks on national television both on Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.  The fumbles are an issue but you can sacrifice 2 points when he scores multiple TDs every week.

WRs
  • Jeremy Maclin @ Buccaneers - Tampa Bay has allowed the most fantasy points to WRs
  • Torrey Smith / Anquan Boldin @ Redskins - Washington has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to Wrs
  • Hakeem Nicks / Victor Cruz vs Saints - New Orleans has allowed the 4th most fantasy points to WRs
  • Dwayne Bowe @ Browns - Cleveland has allowed the 5th most fantasy points to WRs
  • Andre Johnson @ Patriots - New England has allowed the 7th most fantasy points to WRs
  • Reggie Wayne vs Titans - Tennessee has allowed the 8th most fantasy points to WRs
  • Marques Colston / Lance Moore @ Giants - New York has allowed the 9th most fantasy points to WRs
  • Calvin Johnson @ Packers - Green Bay has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to WRs
This has been the year of the WR.  Usually its the RBs that dominate leagues, but this year guys like AJ Green and Brandon Marshall have been unstoppable.  Those guys, depending on league setting obviously, have just as many points if not more points than 1st rounders and most likely top 5 draft picks Arian Foster and Ray Rice.  Neither are on this list but guys like Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Victor Cruz and Calvin "Megatron" Johnson are right there with them.  Take your highest profile WR and throw the matchups out the window because it doesn't matter who these guys are facing this year, they are getting it done!

TEs
  • Owen Daniels @ Patriots - New England has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to TEs
  • Brandon Myers vs Broncos - Denver has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points to TEs
  • Jacob Tamme @ Raiders - Oakland has allowed the 5th most fantasy points to TEs
  • Jermichael Finley vs Lions - Detroit has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to TEs
  • Jason Witten @ Bengals - Cincinnati has allowed the 7th most fantasy points to TEs
  • Mercedes Lewis vs Jets - New York has allowed the 8th most fantasy points to TEs
  • Martellus Bennett vs Saints - New Orleans has allowed the 10th most fantasy points to TEs
Jason Witten must really piss fantasy owners off.  88 catches for over 800 yards and yet he still only has 1 TD!  Don't be afraid to play Brandon Myers.  Over the last 4 weeks only he and Witten have 30 catches at the TE position, but Myers has 2 TDs to Witten's 0.
