Worst Matchups for Fantasy Football Playoffs Week 14

If you are playing in Week 14, it most likely means that you are now playing in a playoff matchup.  After drafting your team and tweaking it throughout the season via waiver wire and trades, this is it.  There is likely not much left out there to do other than play the best lineup you can assemble with the players you currently own.  We want to help you make it through your playoffs and win that championship.  Week 14 is just Round 1 and while some of you have a BYE, the rest of us dont!

QBs
  • Phillip Rivers @ Steelers - Pittsburgh has allowed the 2nd fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Russell Wilson vs Cardinals - Arizona has allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Cam Newton vs Falcons - Atlanta has allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Robert Griffin III vs Ravens - Baltimore has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Andy Dalton vs Cowboys - Dallas has allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Tony Romo @ Bengals - Cincinnati has allowed the 10th fewest fantasy points to QBs
Russell Wilson is going to have problems with this Cardinals D.  In their last 4 contests, they have 10 interceptions including 5 against Matt Ryan, 3 against Mark Sanchez, and one each off Aaron Rodgers and Sam Bradford.

RBs
  • Reggie Bush/Daniel Thomas @ 49ers - San Francisco has allowed the fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Adrian Peterson vs Bears - Chicago has allowed the 2nd fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Stevan Ridley vs Texans - Houston has allowed the 3rd fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Darren Sproles/Pierre Thomas/Mark Ingram @ Giants - New York has allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Ryan Mathews @ Steelers - Pittsburgh has allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Marshawn Lynch vs Cardinals - Arizona has allowed the 6th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Beanie Wells @ Seahawks - Seattle has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Frank Gore vs Dolphins - Miami has allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Marcel Reece vs Broncos - Denver has allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Doug Martin vs Eagles - Philadelphia has allowed the 10th fewest fantasy points to RBs
Of the 3 Saints RBs, the one I would be most comfortable playing is Darren Sproles.  The Giants do a good job keeping RBs out of the endzone, but Sproles is more like a WR that lines up as a RB.

WRs
  • Malcolm Floyd/Danario Alexander @ Steelers - Pittsburgh allows the fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Larry Fitzgerald @ Seahawks - Seattle has allowed the 2nd fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Steve Smith vs Falcons - Atlanta has allowed the 3rd fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Dez Bryant/Miles Austin @ Bengals - Cincinnati has allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Denarius Moore vs Broncos - Denver has allowed the 6th fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Julio Jones/Roddy White @ Panthers - Carolina has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Brian Hartline @ 49ers - San Francisco has allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Justin Blackmon/Cecil Shorts vs Jets - New York has allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points to WRs
  • Stevie Johnson vs Rams - St. Louis has allowed the 10th fewest fantasy points to WRs
I would seriously avoid the Jaguars receivers this week.  The Jets know how to do one thing really well and that is stop the pass.  I know Ryan Lindley was QBing but Larry Fitzgerald was held to a single catch for 23 yards against the Jets last week.

TEs
  • Brandon Pettigrew @ Packers - Green Bay has allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to TEs
  • Heath Miller vs Chargers - San Diego has allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to TEs
  • Jared Cook @ Colts - Indianapolis has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to TEs
  • Dustin Keller @ Jaguars - Jacksonville has allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points to TEs
  • Vernon Davis vs Dolphins - Miami has allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points to TEs
  • Antonio Gates @ Steelers - Pittsburgh has allowed the 10th fewest fantasy points to TEs
Remember how great Antonio Gates used to be?  Prior to his 6 catches last week he had just 4 catches in the two previous games combined.  That was also just his second game of the year in which he had more than 4 catches.  You do not want to rely on him going forward.

Ks
  • Alex Henery @ Bucaneers - Tampa Bay has allowed the 2nd fewest fantasy points to Ks
  • Shaun Suisham vs Chargers - San Diego has allowed the 3rd fewest fantasy points to Ks
  • Sebastian Janikowski vs Broncos - Denver has allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to Ks
  • Rob Bironas @ Colts - Indianapolis has allowed the 6th fewest fantasy points to Ks
  • Shayne Graham @ Patriots - Houston has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to Ks
  • Stephen Gostkowski vs Texans - Houston has allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points to Ks

DEFs
  • Texans @ Patriots - New England has allowed the fewest fantasy points to DEFs
  • Patriots @ Texans - Houston has allowed the 2nd fewest fantasy points to DEFs
  • Ravens @ Redskins - Washington has allowed the 7th fewest fantasy points to DEFs
  • Giants @ Saints - New Orleans has allowed the 8th fewest fantasy points to DEFs
