NBA All-Star Ballot - Third Returns

The NBA has released its All-Star ballots third returns & just like the first returns, the results are laughable.  For injured players and guys not performing like All-Star to receive votes really bothers me.  It is not only Basketball that does it, but it is much easier to highlight in the NBA.

2013 NBA ALL-STAR BALLOTING
EASTERN CONFERENCE

Frontcourt:
  1. LeBron James (Mia) 1,151,304
  2. Carmelo Anthony (NYK) 1,054,099
  3. Kevin Garnett (Bos) 390,751
  4. Chris Bosh (Mia) 362,973
  5. Tyson Chandler (NYK) 315,752
  6. Paul Pierce (Bos) 205,096
  7. Joakim Noah (Chi) 158,743
  8. Josh Smith (Atl) 131,508
  9. Anderson Varejao (Cle) 116,166
  10. Shane Battier (Mia) 107,190
  11. Amar'e Stoudemire (NYK) 104,109
  12. Andrew Bynum (Phi) 93,611
  13. Luol Deng (Chi) 90,736
  14. Brook Lopez (BKN) 76,695
  15. Jeff Green (Bos) 62,367
It's the same 15 guys from the first returns, and I have the same issues.  Andrew Bynum has still yet to play this year and Amar'e has played in just 2 games, and definitely is not back in All-Star shape.  David West, Thaddeus Young, Greg Monroe and Al Horford are being grossly overlooked as they are all having better seasons than Kevin Garnett, Shane Battier and Jeff Green.  Any my goodness, Brooklyn where you at?! Brook Lopez is having the best season of his career and you can only muster up 76,000 votes?!  Pathetic!  Get Shane Battier off this list please!  And why no love for Paul George?  The guys has taken leadership of the Pacers with Danny Granger out and is the best rebounding SG/SF outside of LeBron James.

Backcourt:
  1. Dwyane Wade (Mia) 765,077
  2. Rajon Rondo (Bos) 675,822
  3. Deron Williams (BKN) 350,618
  4. Kyrie Irving (Cle) 308,878
  5. Ray Allen (Mia) 232,441
  6. Monta Ellis (Mil) 84,609
  7. Raymond Felton (NYK) 77,123
  8. Jrue Holiday (Phi) 66,514
  9. Jason Terry (Bos) 62,189
  10. Brandon Jennings (Mil) 56,826
The same 10 guys in the same order besides the bottom 3 all swapping spots.  Jrue Holiday is being shafted here as he is the leagues leading scorer at the PG position in the Eastern Conference.  He is also shooting over 45% from the field including 35% from downtown.  Philly needs to get their votes in!  On top of his offensive efficiency, he is the only guard with 9 assists per game outside of Rajon Rondo.  Hey Canada, there is this guy who plays basketball in your country named DeMar DeRozan, ever heard of him?  He plays on wood though, not the ice so I guess you have an excuse.  Oh wait, there is no NHL this year?  What have you guys been doing with all your free time then?  Go watch the Raptors and vote DeRozan into the All-Star game!  J.R. Smith is so deserving of a roster spot.  He has been a huge part of the Knicks success and has stepped his game up since Felton went down with the hand injury.  6th man of the year vs Jamal Crawford will be a fun battle to watch!

2013 NBA ALL-STAR BALLOTING
WESTERN CONFERENCE

Frontcourt:
  1. Kevin Durant (OKC) 1,088,797
  2. Dwight Howard (LAL) 716,671
  3. Blake Griffin (LAC) 593,024
  4. Tim Duncan (SA) 352,534
  5. Pau Gasol (LAL) 239,440
  6. Kevin Love (Min) 221,291
  7. Omer Asik (Hou) 160,935
  8. Rudy Gay (Mem) 140,864
  9. Serge Ibaka (OKC) 134,172
  10. Marc Gasol (Mem) 114,465
  11. LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) 111,156
  12. Zach Randolph (Mem) 111,046
  13. Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) 106,623
  14. Metta World Peace (LAL) 106,025
  15. Chandler Parsons (Hou) 93,057
Um, where is David Lee?  I think the NBA messed up and they should probably recount the votes.  20 points per game and 11 rebounds is not All-Star worthy any more?  Come on Warriors fans get out there and vote David Lee in!  Another white guy not on this list is Ryan Anderson who leads the Western Conference in 3pts made.  Not sure that automatically qualifies you for the All=Star game but Hornets fans should at least be voting for him!  Speaking of the Hornets, I am happy to NOT see Anthony Davis on this list.

Other guys who should not be on this list: Dirk, Parsons, Pau and Marc Gasol.
Other guys who should be on this list: Nikola Pekovic, Nicolas Batum

Backcourt:
  1. Kobe Bryant (LAL) 1,177,456
  2. Chris Paul (LAC) 651,893
  3. Jeremy Lin (Hou) 605,624
  4. James Harden (Hou) 337,585
  5. Russell Westbrook (OKC) 268,558
  6. Steve Nash (LAL) 202,274
  7. Tony Parker (SA) 128,966
  8. Ricky Rubio (Min) 112,352
  9. Stephen Curry (GS) 97,761
  10. Manu Ginobili (SA) 84,564
Stephen Curry knocked OJ Mayo off the top 10 and moved Ginobili to the bottom and rightfully so.  Although I will say that OJ Mayo should be on this list.  Steve Nash, Rickyk Rubio, Jeremy Lin and Manu Ginobili shouldn't.  Damian Lillard has been unbelievable this season and will lose the opportunity to represent the Blazers because of votes from Asia, Spain and Argentina!  Speaking of foreign countries, where is the Venezuelan love for Greivis Vasquez who is just killing it for the Hornets.  As mentioned above Jamal Crawford is arguably the leagues best bench player and is out performing 40% of this list!
