A Glance at Wednesday's NBA Action

Wednesday gives us 11 games which means big time action on all of the fantasy sites. Sites like Draftkings put more games up and have bigger games on nights like this which can only mean one thing, more money. There are plenty of plays to like, so let’s run through some of them.

DTD But Should Be Good to PlayJoakim Noah is listed as day to day on Draftkings, but there should be no worries about if he’ll be able to go on Wednesday. His matchup versus the Bucks is an interesting one because nobody really knows how the firing of Scott Skiles will affect everyone’s playing time for the Bucks. We do know this, the Bucks have young big men that should be able to outplayed by Noah.

Nikola Pekovic hurt his hip the other day, and made for an interesting pick today due to the fact that nobody really knew how many minutes he was going to get. Well, he got plenty of minutes Tuesday and ended with a monster game. His final stat line against the Hawks was 25 points and 18 rebounds. The Thunder have decent big men, but Pekovic put up 24 and 10 against them earlier this season.

Point Guards Who are on Point
Two of the hottest point guard in the NBA right now are Greivis Vasquez and Jameer Nelson. Both are in action Wednesday, and find themselves in our most updated lineup. Vasquez just played the Rockets the other day and found himself with a nice 41 fantasy point night. His stat line of 15/3/14 was done mainly in the second half of that game.

Nelson faced the Nuggets earlier this season, but wasn’t in the kind of shooting streak he is right now. He put up a decent score of 26 fantasy points on a 9 point, 4 rebound, and 7 assist night. Nelson shot 2-9 from the field that night, a percentage he hasn’t come close to in his last eight games. He’s shooting it more often and more confidently recently.

No Sacre-fice Here
Robert Sacre found himself starting Tuesday with all of the injuries that have hit the Lakers, and put up a nice night scoring 10 points and 3 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks a very impressive number in 28 minutes. Sacre is a minimum priced player on Draftkings, and will put up some solid fantasy points in the lineup.

Beware of Players with Two First Names
After the Clippers stomped out the Warriors the other night, Draftkings decided to lower the price of David Lee down to $7,300. Even with a 17 point game, Lee is averaging 36 fantasy points in the last ten days. His matchup isn’t the best going up against Zach Randolph, but Lee should be able to get his points.

Eric Gordon finds himself on our fantasy squad for the first time this season, and there are plenty of reasons why. For one, he is facing off against the Rockets who give up points like they’re going out of style. Also, the Rockets will be playing on back to back days which is always a plus when the player you want is well rested. Gordon has put up 52 shots in the last three games and has seen his field goal percentage get better each game.

Thursdays are Lame
Thursdays are pretty boring for us fantasy players this season. There never seems to be any volume to games on Thursday, but at least there are some exciting battles going on. We get to see the Knicks and Pacers face off and also the Heat take on the Trail Blazers as the two most entertaining games that day.
