Fantasy Baseball Week 10 - Preferred Pitching Matchups

The Oakland Athletics will start the week in Milwaukee and lose their DH for 3 games.  Seth Smith will probably lose the most ABs, but Josh Reddick could get a day off so they can get Smith's bat in the lineup.  Chris Carter will most likely be used as a pinch hitter as they will not face any left handed starting pitchers.

The Cubs will head to Los Angeles to take on the Angels for just a two game set in which they will get to add a bat to their lineup.  Julio Borbon would most like get to start in Tuesdays matchup against Jered Weaver, & with Jason Vargas scheduled to pitched the second game of this series, Scott Hairston should get a start at DH on Wednesday.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be without a DH on Tuesday and Wednesday when they head to San Francisco to take on the Giants.  This will be their 6th and 7th consecutive games in an NL ballpark.  Toronto has thrown random lineups each night so keep a close eye on the situation.

The Twins playing in Washington D.C. against the Nationals is the only interleague series over the weekend.  Chris Parmelee usually gets the night off in favor of Ryan Doumit when Minnesota plays without a DH.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners get to play 7 games at their home fields this week.

The Oakland Athletics and San Diego Padres have to play 7 road games.

The Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and Washington Nationals get 6 home games.

The Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers play 6 road games.

The Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays only play 5 games.

Streaming Pitching
Kyle Kendrick - Philadelphia Phillies
  • vs Tom Koehler - Miami Marlins (Mon, June 3)
    • Kendrick has been pretty consistent for the Phils and with the recent power surge from Domonic Brown, should get enough run support to earn a W.
Josh Johnson - Toronto Blue Jays
  • @ Tim Lincecum - San Francisco Giants (Tues, June 4)
    • It's a rare occurrence that a name like Josh Johnson is available on the waiver wire.  He is returning from a triceps injury but the Giants offense has really been struggling.
 P.J. Walters - Minnesota Twins
  • @ Jeremy Guthrie -  Kansas City Royals (Wed, June 5)
    • The Royals have lost 3 of Guthries last 4 starts and their offense can't buy a run at the moment.
