Fantasy Baseball Week 11 - Preferred Pitching Matchups

Gerrit Cole will make his MLB debut for the Pirates on Tuesday, June 11th against Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants at home in Pittsburgh.
The Philadelphia Phillies will get to add a DH starting Tuesday for a 3 games series in Minnesota against the Twins.  This should benefit Ben Revere, Delmon Young and John Mayberry Jr..

The Washington Nationals will also benefit, adding a designated hitter to their lineup on Friday for a 3 game series in Cleveland against the Indians.  My guess would be that Tyler Moore gets all the DH ABs, but keep an eye on their lineup for the entire weekend.

The Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers are lucky enough to play all 7 games at home this week.

The Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays are the unfortunate teams playing 7 road games

The Colorado Rockies, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates, and San Diego Padres will host 6 games.

The Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and Washington Nationals will play 6 road games.

Streaming Pitching
Jason Marquis - San Diego Padres
  • vs. Julio Teheran - Atlanta Braves (Mon, June 10th)
    • Marquis and Teheran each flirted with no hitters last week, both pitchers have been very effective and this should be a nice low scoring, old fashion pitchers duel
Chien-Ming Wang - Toronto Blue Jays
  • @ Jose Quintana - Chicago White Sox (Tues, June 11th)
    • Last week Josh Johnson returned and pitched well for the Blue Jays, lets hope Wang can do the same and return to that solid fantasy pitcher he was, when healthy, for the Yankees
Tyler Cloyd - Philadelphia Phillies
  • @ Mike Pelfrey - Minnesota Twins (Wed, June 12th)
    • Over 5 starts, Cloyd has a nice 3.68 ERA and that includes a 6 run beating handed to him from the Red Sox.  Big Pelf has a 5.63 ERA against the Phillies from his days with the Mets over the past 3 seasons and is 3-5 over those 11 starts. No team knows him better over this period of time.
Charlie Morton - Pittsburgh Pirates
  • vs. Matt Cain - San Francisco Giants (Thurs, June 13th)
    • Morton will be making his season debut so expect no more than 5 or 6 innings.  Not a big strikeout guy either, but a travel day for most teams so limited options.
      • Ross Detwiler is a great option too, but I hate him against the Rockies powerful offense.  Choose wisely!
