Fantasy Baseball All-Star Break Rankings - Pitchers & Catchers

MLB All Star Game Logo
Max Scherzer is the clear cut favorite for the AL Cy Young Award, but in the NL its a tight race between Adam Wainwright and Clayton Kershaw. Wainwright is getting more run support, leading to more W and if he reaches 20, then there is no debate. Wainwright also has walked 20 less batters in 1.1 more innings pitched, and by 20 less batters I mean he has walked 15 batters all season! Some of the biggest surprises here Patrick Corbin, Bartolo Colon, Hisashi Iwakuma, Chris Tillman and Eric Stults who have combined to win 50 games! R.A. Dickey (4.69) and Jon Lester (4.58) are the only two pitchers on this list with an ERA above 4.07.

Is anyone else stunned at the season Miguel Montero is having? I was so high on him prior to the start of the season but a .224 batting average doesn't work for a catcher, unless they hit 30 home runs. Montero has found his power stroke over the last 30 days, hitting 5 of his 8 homers and driving in 13 of 33 RBI, while scoring 13 of 32 runs. John Buck is still living off of a torrid start to the season, but has hit much better in July, batting .294 with 9 RBI. Gotta love Brian McCann making this list, even though he has played in just 53 games. If you were one of the smart ones to draft and stash, well played!

Mike Napoli was ranked as a 1B
