Sunday Funday Xpress

Air It Out

  • It started on Thursday Night, with Peyton Manning tossing 7 touchdowns, and continued throughout Sunday with 9 other quarterbacks throwing for 300+ yards, with Eli Manning, Colin Kaepernick and Aaron Rodgers each tossing at least 3 TDs
  • Only 6 teams attempted less than 30 passing attempts
  • A mix of 25 RB/WR/TE had at least 10 targets

Safties in Numbers

  • Just about 20 minutes into kickoff on Sunday the Steelers has 2 points, the Jaguars had 2 points and then Josh Freeman kicked the ball out of the endzone giving the Jets 2 points.  Weird

Pryor to the Snap

  • I told you last week, fantasy owners are going to fall in love with Terrelle Pryor and not only did he have a nice game, but he led the NFL in rushing yards!  Pryor rushed for 112 yards on 13 carries for 5 first downs and twice ran the ball for more than 20 yards.  Once he gets into the endzone his fantasy value is going to skyrocket!
  • Shane Vereen was the only other running back to eclipse 100 rushing yards this week.  That includes Adrian Peterson who had a 78 yard TD run to start the game for the Vikings
  • Chris Johnson was the only RB to see 25 rushing attempts

BOLDin Statement in San Fran

  • Anquan Boldin proved that he is the most underrated WR in the NFL this week in his debut as a Niner.  He caught 13 of his 17 targets for 208 yards and got in the endzone once.  He was being drafted in the 7th round on average this fantasy football draft season, around the 30th WR in each draft

Defense Wins Championships

  • This is true in fantasy football as well, just much harder to figure out where the points will come from each week!  The Miami Dolphins recorded 6 sacks of Brandon Weeden and forced 3 interceptions!  The Dallas Cowboys turned the New York Football Giants over 6 times and scored 2 TDs!  The Kansas City Chiefs got to the Jacksonville Jaguars QBs 6 times as well adding a defensive TD
