2013 Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Infielders

As usual, most of the catchers were not very good this season, but Carlos Santana stayed healthy and proved to be the best at his position, finally!  Jason Castro came out of nowhere and hit 18 home runs and 35 doubles in just 120 games for the Houston Astros.  Miguel Montero really had a down year and hurt me as I was very high on him and ranked him 3rd in Spring Training rankings.  He finished 20th overall.

If Robinson Cano wants $300 mil, Matt Carpenter deserves like $301 mil!  I don't know where this guy came from but I sure am glad I traded for him early in the season!  Cano could have used a better season for the money he is asking for but still 27 HRs from your second baseman is a huge bonus!  Remember when Rickie Weeks was relevant?

As expected, Miggy finished #1 overall but Josh Donaldson continued to hit well after the All-Star Break, giving him the honor of best 3B NOT named Miguel Cabrera!  Let's hope Manny Machado can recover from his knee injury and be the hitter we saw prior to the All-Star Break!

When Jose Reyes and Troy Tulowitzki both miss extended periods of time, the SS position becomes VERY week.  But Ian Desmond was a solid performer all season long and Jean Segura burst onto the fantasy scene.  Starlin Castro...what happened buddy!?
