Pacers Acquire Evan Turner

Despite owning the best record in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers made some noise before the trade deadline as they acquired Evan Turner from the Philadelphia 76ers. This move was made as Indiana knows they are bound to face the Miami Heat to reach the NBA Championship. The Pacers will also receive Lavoy Allen, and they'll ship Danny Granger to Philadelphia.

Yahoo Sports reports an after-the-deadline shocker as the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly traded Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen to the Pacers for Danny Granger. The Pacers had struggled to find any takers for Granger, on a $14 million expiring contract and left a shell of his former self by injuries.

For fantasy players who own Evan Turner, you should expect to see his numbers decrease across the board. There is no way he is going to continue to play 35 minutes a night, when the Pacers have Paul George and Lance Stephenson ahead of him. However he will be part of a very solid bench that includes C.J. Watson, Luis Scola, Ian Mahinmi and possibly Andrew Bynum at some point.

There is talk that Philly will release Danny Granger at some point, which the Pacers should be a little worried that he could potentially sign with the Miami Heat.

Michael Carter-Williams and Thaddeus Young will be the main guys for the 76ers moving forward.
