The Oakland Athletics were all set to start the 2014 MLB season with a starting rotation of Jarrod Parker, Scott Kazmir, Sonny Gray, Dan Straily and A.J. Griffin.  It looks like Griffin and Parker will start the season on the DL now.  A.J. has some elbow issues, while Jarrod is experiencing forearm tightness.  They combined for 397 innings pitched last year, and without Bartolo Colon this season, they need these guys to pitch as many innings as possible!

These two young arms combined for 305 strikeouts and issued just 117 base on balls.  They won 26 of their 64 starts and lost just 18 games.  Tommy Milone and Drew Pomeranz will have to step up for Oakland to start the season.
