The Atlanta Braves will be without Kris Medlen this season and the Oakland Athletics have lost Jarrod Parker as well. Last season the New York Mets sent Matt Harvey under the knife and he will miss most, if not all of this season.
Kris Medlen completed his first full season as a starting pitcher for the Braves last season, making 31 starts. He finished 15-12 with a 3.11 ERA. This after winning 9 of his last 12 starts to end the 2012 season.
Jarrod Parker has made 62 career starts, owns a 25-16 record and was set to be the Ace of the Oakland Athletics pitching rotation.
This will be the second TJ surgery for both pitchers!
