UPDATE - Game has been postponed due to rain

The Detroit Tigers acquired Anibal Sanchez back in 2012 and over 41 starts, Sanchez has won 18 games and owns a 2.91 ERA.  Today he matches up with Yordano Ventura in the final game between the Tigers and Kansas City Royals.  KC has scored just 4 runs over the first two games (3 in one inning), facing Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer.  Last season Sanchez won 2 of his 3 starts against the Royals allowing just 3 runs and striking out 13 over 20.1 innings pitched.

Anibal pitches well at Comerica Park, winning 8 of his 14 starts last season, striking out 110 batters in just 93.1 innings pitched while walking just 25. Salvador Perez has already piled up 5 hits, 3 doubles, for the Royals, but Norichika Aoki is still looking for his first as the Royals leadoff hitter. Perez is 0-9 against Sanchez.
