NBA Playoffs Simulation - Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Clippers

NBA fans could not have asked for a more entertaining 1st round series. There is no shortage of bad blood between the two and even without Andrew Bogut, this is going to be must watch TV. The Clippers stayed on top of the Western Conference, even with CP3 and J.J. Redick sidelined for a huge portion of the season thanks to the MVP like season from Blake Griffin. The Warriors will need Stephen Curry to put the team on his back if the Warriors want advance.  Our simulation has the Clippers winning in 7 games.

Game 1

Warriors lead series 1-0


Despite losing the game, the Clippers led most of the way. Los Angeles led 91-77 heading into the 4th quarter but the Warriors outscored them 34-19 and take game 1 on the road.


With no Andrew Bogut, Jermaine O'Neal came up big with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Klay Thompson had a team high 21 points. Steph Curry was 6-11 from the field and finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Off the bench Draymond Green had 6 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Chris Paul had a game high 24 points to go along with 5 assists and 3 steals. Jamal Crawford scored 20 points, to go along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists off the bench. Blake Griffin finished with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Both teams had six players in double figures.

Blake Griffin had a game high 28 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Jamal Crawford and Chris Paul each had 18 points. Matt Barnes (12), Glen Davis (10) and DeAdnre Jordan (10) all finished in double figures as well. J.J. Redick and Darren Collison just missed the cut with 9 and 8 points.

The Warriors got production out of three players. Steph Curry led the team with 25 points and 6 assists. Klay Thompson was right behind him with 24 points. Both Curry and Thompson hit five 3's. David Lee added a double double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Warriors lead series 2-1


The Warriors nearly blew an 18 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. The Clippers outscored the Warriors 35-19 in the 4th quarter but came up just short.

Steph Curry only hit 6 shots all night but they all were from behind the arch and he led the Warriors with 22 points. David Lee and Klay Thompson each had 19 points. Lee also added 11 rebounds. Jordan Crawford scored 13 points off the bench.

Blake Griffin poured in 30 points and 14 rebounds but his effort wasn't enough to get the job done. Chris Paul also posted a double-double with 24 points and 10 assists. Jamal Crawford scored 20 points off the bench on 7-19 shooting. He hit four 3's. Darren Collison added 11 points and 6 assists off the bench. DeAndre Jordan grabbed 14 rebounds.

Series is tied 2-2


Los Angeles dominated this game as they outscored the Warriors in every quarter. LA outscored Golden State inside the paint 40-30 and their bench outscored Golden State's 47-29. Los Angeles also forced 19 turnovers.

Jamal Crawford had a big night off the bench with a game high 31 points on 8-13 shooting. He hit three 3's and was 12-12 from the foul line. Blake Griffin posted another double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. DeAndre Jordan scored 17 points on 7-8 shooting. Matt Barnes scored 15 points, knocked down four 3's and grabbed 6 rebounds. J.J. Redick added 11 points and 5 assists.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. However he did turn the ball over 7 times. David Lee (16), Andre Iguodala (15), Klay Thompson (14), and Jordan Crawford (12) all finished in double figures.

Warriors lead series 3-2


Golden State used a huge first half to help them win game 5 and take a 3-2 series lead. The Warriors lead 63-38 at halftime and were able to hang on for a 6 point victory.

David Lee and Andre Iguodala posted double-doubles. Lee finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Iguodala added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Steph Curry nearly triple-doubled with 2 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Harrison Barnes had 9 points and 8 rebounds off the bench.

Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Chris Paul scored 21 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Jamal Crawford scored 19 points off the bench on 7-12 shooting. J.J. Redick added 14 points.

Series is tied 3-3


Los Angeles shot 55% from the field, hit twelve 3's and knocked down 25 of 28 free throws to force a game 7.

Blake Griffin's great series continued as he scored 34 points on 13-20 shooting, grabbed 11 rebounds and had 6 assists. J.J. Redick hit four 3's on his way to 20 points. Jamal Crawford and Darren Collison each scored 18 points off the bench and Chris Paul scored 17 points with 6 assists and 3 steals. DeAndre Jordan only had 5 points but he grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked 3 shots.

Klay Thompson hit 5 of 9 threes to lead the Warriors with 25 points. Steph Curry scored 23 points and handed out 9 assists. David Lee added 18 points and 9 rebounds. Jordan Crawford and Marreese Speights each scored 12 points off the bench. Jermaine O'Neal was just 3-10 from the field and finished with 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Clippers win series 4-3


This was as close as a game 7 could get as both teams traded leads all game. However the Clippers had Blake Griffin and that turned out to be the difference in the series.

Griffin was 16-22 from the field and went on to score 37 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Jamal Crawford added another 21 points off the bench, and Chris Paul posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists. Paul also had 4 steals.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry did all they could to keep the Warriors season going as they combined for 44 points and six 3's. Jordan Crawford added 17 points off the bench.
