The San Francisco Giants had arguably the most dominant pitcher in all of baseball when Tim Lincecum was promoted to the big leagues. Over his first 5 seasons, Lincecum went 69-41 with a 2.98 ERA, including back to back Cy Young awards in 2008 and 2009.

Something has happened to Tim Lincecum since he's experienced great success in the majors. Lincecum has lost velocity on his fastball and his numbers are way down. From the start of the 2012 season through this season, Lincecum is 25-34 with an ERA of 4.78.

However, today we saw vintage Lincecum.

Lincecum no hit the San Diego Padres and was nearly perfect. Lincecum walked Chase Headley the 5th batter he faced today, and then went on to retire the final 23 Padre hitters.
