The Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a trade that will send Joakim Soria to the Tigers and Jake Thompson and Corey Knebel to the Rangers.

Soria has served as the Rangers closer this season, and has saved 17 games. He has a 2.70 ERA and a WHIP of 0.87. With Joe Nathan struggling as Detroit's closer this year, Soria could end up becoming the 9th inning man for the Tigers.
