Wolves Acquire Thaddeus Young, Keep Bennett

Rumor had it Anthony Bennett would be flipped to the 76ers, but the T'Wolves were able to hold onto the former #1 pick and sent a 2015 1st round pick. Alexey Shved and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute to Philly in exchange for Young.

It appears as though Anthony Bennett will not play for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but will be traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for Thaddeus Young. Bennett is going to be a part of the Kevin Love trade. Like that trade, this deal can not be completed until August 23rd.
A source informed the Daily News that the Sixers will be sending veteran forward Thaddeus Young to Minnesota for a package that will include Bennett, the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA draft. - Philly.com
Young will team up with Nikola Pekovic in the T'Wolves front court, while Bennett joins Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid in Philly's front court. The Sixers are still missing pieces to surround Michael Carter-Williams with at the SG and SF positions.
