With the Denver Broncos, Cincinatti Bengals, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns on a BYE week, fantasy football owners are going to have a tough time filling a complete roster this week.  Whatever you do, do NOT jeopardize your future just for a one time use QB or TE. Thnk twice before dropping someone!

Important Fantasy Players on BYE

QB

Odds are, you have at least one, if not two of the players listed above.

If you have one of the QBs, and you did not hold a bench spot for a QB, you are going to have limited options via the Waiver Wire.  However, as your luck would have it, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings have turned to their rookie QBs and neither Blake Bortles nor Teddy Bridgewater was probably owned in your league.  However, do NOT waste a high waiver priority on these guys.  If you have to, wait until everyone clears waivers, then make a move.

QB Worth a Waiver Move

Wait for Them to Clear Waivers

  • Ryan Tannehill (42%) @ Oakland Raiders
  • Joe Flacco (40%) @ Carolina Panthers
  • Eli Manning (36%) @ Washington Redskins (TNF)
  • Blake Bortles (5%) @ San Diego Chargers
  • Teddy Bridgewater (3%) vs Atlanta Falcosn
  • Mike Glennon (1%) @ Pittsburgh Steelers

The Running back situation is going to be much more difficult to navigate, and who knows what value Knile Davis will have next week thanks to the possible return of Jamaal Charles. Unfortunately for the San Diego Chargers, Danny Woodhead's season could be over, and Donald Brown, while he did nothing with the volume, should get heavy work loads until Ryan Mathew returns.

RBs Worth a Waiver Move

It may have been garbage time, but Bortles hooked up with both Allen Hurns and Cecil Shorts for TDs. Shorts is owned in just 57% of Yahoo leagues and Hurns just 31%.  Eagles rookie WR Jordan Matthews had a nice breakout game with 2 TDs and will be a popular waiver move this week.

WRs Worth a Waiver Move

  • Allen Hurns (31%) @ San Diego Chargers
  • Jordan Matthews (18%) @ San Francisco 49ers
  • Kenny Stills (17%) @ Dallas Cowboys
  • Nate Washington (4%) @ Indianpolis Colts

Fantasy owners lost Dennis Pitta this weekend to a nasty hip injury that could be career ending. Owen Daniels is now a must own fantasy player again.  Kyle Rudolph requires surgery and he will be out about 6 weeks.  Vernon Davis should return this week, and that could signal the end of Stevie Johnson gaining 100 yards again this season.  Colin Kaepernick targets Derrick Carrier just twice, and Johnson 9 times, 3 more than the 1st two game combined.

TEs Worth a Waiver Move

  • Travis Kelce (48%) vs New England Patriots
  • Larry Donnell (36%) @ Washington Redskins (TNF)
  • Owen Daniels (26%) vs Carolina Panthers
