The San Francisco 49ers will have Vernon Davis back in uniform for their Week 4 NFL matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. Davis missed last week's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals and the Niners lost 23-14. Colin Kaepernick did complete 78% of his 37 pass attempts, but San Fran needs Vernon Davis in the Red Zone. Stevie Johnson led the team with 103 yards, but with Davis back, Johnson will revert back to his 2 catch average in the 49ers first 2 contests. With Davis back, the Niners can run the football again, but the Eagles run defense has been above average this season. They are just horrific against the pass, allowing 8 touchdowns, so I wouldn't expect big games out of Frank Gore or Carlos Hyde. Kaep should have himself another nice game, which is good new for Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Davis owners.
