Rumor has it that Philadelphia 76ers PG and the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams, could miss up to 50 games! MCW had shoulder surgery back in May, he didn't play all summer, and the Sixers couldn't trade him this offseason. Things are all starting to make sense! In his NBA debut, Carter-Williams scored 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 9 assists. He finished the season averaging 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, in a Philly offense that lead the NBA in PACE.
MCW missed 12 games last season, and in his place Tony Wroten put up similar numbers. He is the one who will benefit most from Carter-Williams missing an extended period of time. In 16 starts, Wroten averaged 17.8 points per game, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. If you have yet to draft your fantasy basketball team, target Wroten in the later rounds!
