The Boston Red Sox and free agent 3B Pablo Sandoval have agreed to a 5 year deal, worth $95 mil. This on the same day they added Hanley Ramirez who returns to Boston on a 5 year deal. With Ramirez and Sandoval now a part of Red Sox Nation, Hanley Ramirez will have to play the OF, or Xander Bogaerts is going to be traded. I wrote a blog post over at DavidGonos.com discussing how I felt about giving Kung Fu Panda $100 mil.

Sandoval and Ramirez join Yoenis Cespedes, acquired via trade at the MLB trade deadline for Jon Lester, as the new look Red Sox.  They join aging players in David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia who are looking to make one last run at a World Series ring.

Cespedes would most likely move to RF, if HanRam joins the OF.  There is a serious logjam in Boston with Cespedes, Ramirez, Shane Victorino, Daniel Nava, Jackie Bradley JR., Allen CraigBrock Holt, Rusney Castillo and Mookie Betts.

Trade are coming, stay tuned!

The San Francisco Giants will target Chase Headley in free agency. Sandoval played 168 games at 3B last season, with Joaquin Arias 2nd on the team in GP with 12.
