Just three weeks ago Billy Butler was playing in game 7 of the World Series for the Kansas City Royals, now he is a member of the Oakland Athletics.

Butler and the Athletics agreed to a 3 year deal worth $30 million.

The Athletics offense really took a hit when they traded away Yoenis Cespedes for Jon Lester.

Butler will most likely serve as the A's DH, and hit in the middle of the lineup behind Josh Donaldson and Brandon Moss.

Last season Butler hit .271 with 9 home runs and 66 runs batted in. It was a down year as he hit 15 home runs and knocked in 82 runs the year before and in 2012 Butler hit .313 with 29 homers and 107 RBI.
