In a trade that comes as shocking news, the Oakland Athletics have agreed to trade their superstar third baseman Josh Donaldson to the Toronto Blue Jays. In return the A's will receive Brett Lawrie, Sean Nolin, Kendall Graveman and Franklin Barreto.

The A's offense really struggled after they traded Yoenis Cespedes to the Red Sox back in July. Donaldson was really the lone bright spot for Oakland offensively, so it comes as a surprise they'd trade him. Donaldson hit .255 last season with 29 home runs and 98 RBI. Brett Lawrie is just 24 and there has been a lot of hype surrounding him but he has failed to live up to it, largely due to a long list of injuries.

Toronto now has a nice core of players like Jose Reyes, Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, and Russell Martin.
