The running back position continued to be wildly unstable throughout the fantasy football playoffs. Just 8 RBs found themselves in the top 25 in all three weeks. Week 14 saw four backs hit 20+ points, including Le'Veon Bell's 35.25 thanks to 185 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards on 6 catches and 3 touchdowns. He saw a steady decline in fantasy points over the playoffs, but still managed to rank 2nd in Week 15 and 20th this past week. He was the top fantasy point earning amongst RBs, but there was a more stable option. His name is Marshawn Lynch and he can do this:
Lynch found himself climb the ranks from 12th in Week 14, up to 8th in Week 15 and finally the 2nd best RB in Week 16, behind the one and only Matt Asiata. Both backs scored twice, and Lynch rushed for 55 more yards, but Asiata added 3 receptions for 19 yards to to outscore Lynch 19.35-18.65.
Eddie Lacy was the #3 back across the fantasy playoffs, scoring in each week. Lacy ranked 5th, 6th and 14th.
After a 3 TD performance to kickoff the playoffs, C.J. Anderson failed to make the top 25 last week, even with 95 total yards and 2 receptions.
Many fantasy owners couldn't enjoy Jeremy Hill's big day against the Cleveland Browns, when he racked up 148 rushing yards and scored twice because the Pittsburgh Steelers limited him to just 67 total yards in Week 14. Giovani Bernard gained just 36 total yards that week.
