The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to trade the Ace of their pitching staff, Yovani Gallardo, to the Texas Rangers in exchange for Luis Sardinas, Corey Knebel and Marcos Diplan.  Gallardo has spent the past 8 seasons in the Brewers rotation, getting the call when he was just 21 years old in 2007, making 17 starts.  He owns a career record of 89-64 with a 3.69 ERA.

Gallardo joins Yu Darvish at the top of the Rangers rotation, which ranked near the bottom in all pitching categories.  Pitching in the American League could hurt Gallardo's fantasy baseball value just slightly.  He had a career best 3.51 ERA and 2.5 BB/9 in 2014, but his K/9 dropped to 6.8, below his career 8.6.  He will be reunited with pitching coach Mike Maddux in Texas.

Sardinas could steal some ABs from Scooter Gennett with Rickie Weeks no longer a member of the Brewers.

Matt Garza is now the Brewers Ace, followed by Kyle Lohse, Wily Peralta, Mike Fiers and Jimmy Nelson.
