Saturday night the UFC brings us their 184 PPV, headlined by superstar Ronda Rousey, as she takes on number one contender, Cat Zingano, in a fight years in the making.

The fight I am most excited for, however, is Raquel Pennington vs Holly Holm. Let me explain why.

Holly "The Preacher's Daughter" Holm

  • 33 Years old
  • 14-time world champion boxer.
  • Retired from boxing with a 33-2-3 record(9 KO's)
  • Ranked number one in the world 3 different weight classes (140-147-154)
  • 7-0 Mixed Martial Arts record (6 KO's)
  • Trained by Mike Winklejohn since the age of 16.

That is quite an impressive resume. The most impressive part of it may be the fact she's been trained by Mike Winklejohn. In case you don't know who that is, let me enlighten you. He's the head striking coach at Greg Jackson's camp. That means Mike Winklejohn has been the striking coach to the likes of Jon Jones, Carlos Condit, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, Duane Ludwig, John Dodson, Rashad Evans and Georges "Rush" St. Pierre. That's a who 's who of MMA talent. That alone should be enough to build some big-time hype around this lady. Not to mention her legendary boxing career.

Holm started her MMA career in 2011 and made the move to full-time in 2013. She is 7-0 with 6 of those wins coming by the way of knockout. Her last fight came against Juliana Werner in April of 2014. After breaking her arm in the first round, Holms went on to win the fight by head kick in the fifth round. As you could imagine, when news of her signing with the UFC hit the airwaves, whispers of a super fight with current Bantamweight Queen, Ronda Rousey, began to circulate. If Ronda is victorious in her fight against Cat Zingana, then you have to imagine those rumors will pick up and come to fruition.
