The Los Angeles Dodgers will have to start the season without their closer Kenley Jansen as he is out 8-12 weeks after having foot surgery. Jansen is having surgery to remove a growth from a bone in his left foot. Jansen will miss at least the first month of the 2015 MLB season.

If the Dodgers look internally to fill the closer role, they'd turn to Joel Peralta. However the team will more than likely go out and sign either Francisco Rodriguez or Rafael Soriano to close.

Los Angeles might rely heavily on their starters early on in the season but that won't be a bad thing considering their rotation looks like this: Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Brandon McCarthy and Brett Anderson.
