Maikel Franco has been scorching hot the last two weeks, and his 37 total bases is 5th best in baseball.  The 3B position has some holes in 12 team leagues and deeper, when you consider multi position players, the UTIL spot and CI, so Franco should be on your roster if you need help.  He is owned in just 33% of Yahoo leagues, but closer to 50% ESPN.  We suggested that you wait for him when the Phillies first called him up, but now is the time to grab him while he is still available.  He is hitting .396 in June with 4 home runs and 6 doubles.

There is a place for Jace Peterson in fantasy baseball.  At 2B and the MI position, you can do much worse.  Peterson, 19% owned ESPN 14% Yahoo,  was acquired by the Braves in the Justin Upton deal and is a career .287 minor league hitter, batting over .300 the last two seasons.  He is Atlanta's leadoff hitter, bats in front of Freddie Freeman and can steal some bases too, although he has been thrown out in 6 of his 13 attempts.

If you are part of the 64% of ESPN owners, 60% Yahoo, that have Cameron Maybin on your team, try and trade him ASAP.  The 28 year old OF is finally living up to his potential, but his injury risk is too high for me.  It's easy to sell a guy hitting over .300 ( .420 in June) with 30+ RBI and 11 stolen bases.  Sell him this week!

Jaime Garcia is back and finally looking healthy!  At just 46% owned Yahoo, 43% ESPN, you need to take advantage of the Cardinals pitcher.  His 5 starts have seen him pitch 35 innings and he owns a 2.06 ERA with 0.98 WHIP.  His 2-3 record does not show that the Cardinals have scored 0 runs in 3 of his starts.  It was a long time ago, but Garcia won 13 games in back to back years in 2010-11.

Might as well go try and take Felix Hernandez off his owners hands.  It will cost you something, but not nearly as much as it would normally!

Try and deal Scott Kazmir.  He looked great in his last start, but it was his first start to go past the 6th inning since April!  He had 4 straight starts that failed to go 6 complete innings.  Kazmir battled some injuries, tends to have high pitch counts and the A's have won just 4 of the 12 games he has started.  His near 9 K/9, 2.79 ERA and 1.20 WHIP is desirable for many fantasy baseball owners.  See what's out there!
