Could it be Peter O'Brien time in Arizona? The Diamondbacks just traded Mark Trumbo, leaving the team with a hole in the outfield and O'Brien is tearing up AAA pitching. Sounds like a perfect fit, right?
In 49 games this year in AAA, O'Brien is hitting .339 with 15 doubles, 2 triples, 12 home runs and 47 RBI. O'Brien is a big kid at 6'4, 235 lbs and provides a ton of power, as he hit 34 home runs last season in the minors.
The only thing that will delay his call up is the fact that he's only played a limited amount of games in the outfield. O'Brien came up as a catcher and only recently made the switch to the outfield.
Ender Inciarte, A.J. Pollock and David Peralta have played very well for Arizona so far this season but that's not an outfield that will excite fans or win games.
Can't forget about the return of Jake Lamb, which will move Yasmany Tomas to the OF.
