The Pittsburgh Steelers, who will already be missing RB Le'Veon Bell to suspension, will be without WR Martavis Bryant to start the NFL season. To make matters worse, the Steelers are set to kickoff the NFL season on Thursday Night Football, in Foxboro, against the New England Patriots, who will be missing Tom Brady and LeGarrette Blount due to suspensions!
Bryant was being drafted as a WR2/WR3 with the 63rd overall pick as the 26th WR off draft boards. Prior to news about a possible suspension, we had ranked Bryant 27th overall in our WR rankings, and we dropped hi down to 42nd.
There had been much love for Markus Wheaton coming from Steelers camp, and now we know why. Since August 1st, Wheaton has jumped up from the 14th round to the 10th round in Fantasy Football Calculator drafts, and he could jump up in the 6th or 7th rounds of fantasy football drafts this weekend. We ranked Wheaton 64th in our August 23rd update of our fantasy football WR rankings and now moved him up to 53rd.
