Value plays are getting tougher to find as guys settle into roles that are more defined. A bunch of value plays can be found Sunday morning when the inactives start hitting social media. I was able to plug Ryan Mathews in a few spots and cashed. I had a lot of Devonta Freeman and Rishard Matthews who are still cheap. Very disappointed in my decision to tout Nick Foles as he was ineffective.

The key is always to find those value plays that allow you to pay up for studs. Check out my other weekly article DFS5s where I give you 20 guys to play this week. These value plays allow you to pay for some of those studs.

Value QB Plays

Tyrod Taylor - GoDraft Price $12,600 - It took all of 3 weeks and T-Mobile is now a staple in my lineup this week. The New York Giants are giving up 18.4 fantasy points per game to QBs so I like Taylor and the Charles Clay/Percy Harvin stack. It looks like both LeSean McCoy and Sammy Watkins may sit so you have a few cheap plays to consider in their absence.

Also consider: Sam Bradford $12,300, Derek Carr (check DFS5s article) $12,200

Value RB Plays

Thomas Rawls - GoDraft Price $4,850 - I can’t say I’ve heard of him until this past Sunday but he is being compared to Marshawn Lynch for his violent running style and physicality. If Lynch sits this week you have to play Rawls, at this price, in a home game. Fred Jackson got 2 carries last week so pick Rawls. Detroit is giving up 20 points per game too.

Frank Gore - GoDraft Price $8,400 - Game flow suggests the Colts could get out to an early lead and that means Gore could get 20+ carries with tons of late game work. Jacksonville gives up 21 fantasy points per game to RBs and Vegas has the Indy team total at 29 points.

T.J. Yeldon - GoDraft Price $7,200 - Yeldon is getting all the Jacksonville carries and should see 20 touches this week. He is getting the work and the price fits.

Also consider: Bilal Powell $5,700, Alfred Blue $7,000, Duke Johnson $4,850

Value WR Plays

Rishard Matthews - GoDraft Price $6,000 - I played Matthews in just about every lineup last week as his price was so low and that allowed me to fit in some studs. He came through big time and his price isn’t high enough to get away. Darrelle Revis should be running with Jarvis Landry this weekend and many QBs don’t throw at Revis. Take advantage of this in that early start in London, England. Play Matthews and expect Ryan Tannehill to stay away from Revis Island.

Michael Crabtree - GoDraft Price $6,300 - All the talk is about Amari Cooper but Crabtree leads the team in targets. I still like him at this price as I do all the Raiders this week. Chicago gives up 28 fantasy points per game to WRs.

Tedd Ginn Jr. - GoDraft Price $5,100 - The best part of Greg Olsen’s big game last week is that Tampa Bay defense will bring a safety up to key on him over the top leaving them susceptible to a Ginn deep ball. Ginn is 2nd on the team in targets so expect 5-8 targets this week and one deep TD is all he needs.

Also consider: Percy Harvin $8,600, Nelson Agholor $4,600, Leonard Hankerson $4,600, Travis Benjamin $8,200, Allen Hurns $7,600

Value TE Plays

Charles Clay - GoDraft Price $9,400 - I touted T-Mobile earlier in this article and I think Clay is a great option at TE. I thought he would be cheaper but wanted to mention him here. The Giants are one of the worst vs TEs giving up over 14 points per game to the position. Clay had a good game last week and with McCoy and Watkins possibly sitting out this week I think Clay gets extra targets.

Also consider: Richard Rodgers $6,600, Max Williams $4,500 (Thursday)
