Alfred Morris will stay in the NFC East, but is switching teams. A member of the Washington Redskins for the last four seasons after being drafted in the 6th round, Morris has signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
After rushing for 1,613 yards as a rookie, Morris has seen a decline in rushing yards for three straight seasons. Last year was the first time in his career he failed to gain 1,000 yards on the ground. He rushed for just 781 yards and scored a single touchdown.
Morris split time with rookie Matt Jones who rushed for three scores. QB Kirk Cousins actually led the team in rushing TDs with five.
Alfred Morris will have the benefit of running behind the Cowboys offensive line, which is one of the best in the NFL. They are so good, that Darren McFadden rushed for over 1,000 yards last year! Morris and McFadden will split carries but both of them will play a role in fantasy football this Fall.
