In what will be the first of many suprise moves during NFL free agency, the Jacksonville Jaguars have added Chris Ivory to their roster. The Jags drafted T.J. Yeldon year and the rookie led the team with 740 rushing yards (4.1 ypc) and two rushing touchdowns.
Ivory had his first 1,000 yard season (4.3 ypc) with the Jets and rushed for a career high seven touchdowns. He even added 30 receptions and receiving TD this year. Ivory averaged 908 rushing yards over three season in New York.
This tweet will help you understand just how good this duo could be in 2016:
I believe we will find fantasy football owners struggling to decide with Jaguars RB to draft first, but it is highly likely that Ivory gets the goal line carries which could make all the difference.Chris Ivory had a defender miss tackles on his carries 47 times last year; 4th most among RBs. TJ Yeldon was at 34; 9th most— Nathan Jahnke (@PFF_NateJahnke) March 9, 2016
The Jags played from behind a lot this year, forcing Blake Bortles to throw the ball 606 times, good for 6th in the NFL. It turned him, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns into solid fantasy options but the Jaguars need to become a more balanced offensive team if they want to win the AFC South with Andrew Luck returning to the Colts, the Texans adding a QB (most likely) and the Titans adding DeMarco Murray, signing OL Ben Jones and owning the first pick in the NFL Draft.
The Jets could also lose Bilal Powell as cap space is tight - and that would leave them with a huge hole at the RB position. They could have to turn to the NFL Draft,
