The Detroit Lions are quickly moving on from Calvin Johnson, signing Marvin Jones moments after the NFL Free Agency officially opened up. Jones reportedly choose the Lions over the New England Patriots.
Jones will go from catching passes from Andy Dalton and lining up opposite A.J. Green to playing catch with Matthew Stafford with Golden Tate on the other side of the field. Jones should be in line for another 100 targets as the Lions threw the ball over 100 times more than the Bengals last year.
The Bengals are in trouble now with Jones gone and Mohamed Sanu a free agent. They missed out on Travis Benjamin who just signed with the San Diego Chargers. Benjamin could have a breakout season catching passes from Philip Rivers Rivers. Looks like Cincy will turn to the draft for WR help.
