The Minnesota Twins are off to a terrible start to the 2016 MLB season, winning just two of their first 11 games. Their offense has scored a league low 25 runs. Miguel Sano was supposed to be a force in the middle of their lineup, but early on has struggled...mightily. The 22 year old has just five hits in his first 35 at bats, striking out 17 times. That's the worst k% in the league at 40.5%, but not so alarming as he finished last year with a 35.5 K% and still managed to hit 18 home runs, 17 doubles, a triple and bat .269 in 80 games (279 ABs).
There is a reason why NFBC owners drafted Sano in the top 60 and as the 6th 3B overall this draft season, ahead of Matt Carpenter, Anthony Rendon, Kyle Seager, Maikel Franco and Adrian Beltre.
Right now though, owners are frustrated and could be willing to make a move. I would send Sano's owner a package deal starting with guys like Eugenio Suarez, Nick Castellanos, Brock Holt, Travis Shaw or Adonis Garcia and adding in whatever else that owner lacks to get Miguel Sano on my roster.
Even if it takes a trip back down to AAA to right the ship, you will be happy to have Sano on your roster come this Summer.
