The injury bug is starting to take a toll on starting pitchers (the Indians just lost Carlos Carrasco for 4-6 weeks) and now the Minnesota Twins are getting set to put Ervin Santana on the DL with a back issue.
Taking his place in the rotation is stud pitcher and future ace Jose Berrios.
In three starts in the minor leagues this year, Berrios has a 1.06 ERA. He has given up just eight hits and has struck out 20 batters in 17 innings.
We expect the 22 year old will stay up in the big leagues for the rest of the year.
In 2015, Berrios went 14-5 in the minors with a 2.87 ERA, striking out 175 batters in 166 innings.
