The long awaiting debut of the top RHP prospect in the MLB is over. The Washington Nationals have promoted Lucas Giolito to make his MLB debut on Tuesday, against the New York Mets. The Los Angeles Dodgers gave Julio Urias a first look against the Mets - same as the Pittsburgh Priates with Jameson Taillon.
Giolito will be replacing Stephen Strasburg in the Nationals rotation. Strasburg landed on the disabled list with a back injury.
In 71 IP at AA Harrisburg, Giolito owns a 3.17 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP. He has racked up 72 strikeouts but issued 34 walks.
He will be a on a strict inning limit, similar to Urias, so get a solid start or two out of the kid and try to deal him in redraft leagues.
