While most of us were sleeping, the Cleveland Indians were finalizing trades with the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers.  Andrew Miller and Jonathan Lucroy are heading to the Indians with multiple prospects leaving their deep farm system.

The Yankees will get Clint FrazierJustus SheffieldBen Heller and J.P. Feyereisen in return for Miller.  Miller had six saves for New York this year before Aroldis Chapman returned.  But Chapman was dealt to the Chicago Cubs and Miller earned two more saves this past week.  Now he will have to battle Cody Allen in Cleveland for save opportunities, unless Terry Francona comes out and declares one the Closer.

With Chapman supplanting Hector Rondon in Chicago, and Miller now in the Indians bullpen, fantasy baseball owners have seen closer depth charts do some serious shuffling.  Dellin Betances is now the guy in New York while the Washington Nationals acquired Mark Melancon from the Pirates.

Melancon will take over for Jonathan Papelbon and the Pirates bullpen will give Tony Watson the first shot at closing games with Neftali Feliz waiting for his chance.

Will the Royals hold onto Wade Davis?

You can add to this mess the terrible year Trevor Rosenthal had before landing on the DL and the Houston Astros bullpen right now and understand why SV+H is a better category for fantasy baseball leagues.

The Brewers will get a package deal of Francisco Mejia, Triston McKenzie, Greg Allen and Yu-Cheng Chang in return for Lucroy - if he accepts the deal.  It would make no sense for him to not want to go to Cleveland, who is currently 4.5 games up on the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central.
