The Jacksonville Jaguars signed RB Chris Ivory in the offseason to pair him with T.J. Yeldon in their backfield. Ivory was a late scratch in Week 1, after being hospitalized with a "non-football injury." He has since been released, but will not play in Week 2, on the road against the San Diego Chargers.
Yeldon rushed the ball 21 times against the Green Bay Packers last week, but gained just 39 yards. He did score a touchdown and added four receptions for 30 yards. Either the Packers run defense is great or the Jaguars will struggle to run the ball this year. We will find out on Sunday.
San Diego was torched by Spencer Ware, who filled in for Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West, both out with injuries. Ware averaged 6.4 yards per carry, gaining 70 yards on just 11 carries, rushing for a TD. He led the Chiefs with 7 catches and 129 receiving yards.
I would not expect Yeldon to post 100 receiving yards, but he should be a low end RB2 this weekend.
