Last season Encarnacion hit .263 with 42 home runs and led the majors with 127 runs batted in.
Since being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays at the deadline in 2009 by the Cincinnati Reds for Scott Rolen - being claimed off waivers by the Oakland Atheltics, released and re-signed by Toronto - only Miguel Cabrera and Jose Bautista have hit more home runs! His 656 RBI is good 7th best.
With the signing of Encarnacion and a healthy Michael Brantley, the Indians lineup will be among the best in baseball. Combine that with a dominate bullpen & a good starting rotation and Cleveland might have a shot at getting back to the World Series.
